UAC CO 29002C A/C Compressor , grey

I purchased an open box compressor for my 2004 suburban with rear ac and it was in perfect condition! I’m a professional ac technician been doing it for 20 years I drained and replaced to oil in compressor. Install was a bit rough be prepared. EVACUATE the system before charging with refrigerant. Compressor works amazing ice cold ac zero noise or strain. Will update on reliability after a few months. So far amazing value for the quality.

Replaced the AC compressor oil to match to my truck's specs, as directed on their instruction sheet. (I believe the oil I put in was exactly what what I dumped out in the first place.) Had to run around to several parts stores to find the appropriate Orings for the AC line ends, as they weren't in my package. Then, successfully Installed the compressor. Rotated the clutch by hand for a minute or two to make sure all seals were well lubricated. Gradually charged the system with Freon. Ran perfectly and blew cold air for 30 mins. Turned the engine off. Came back half hour later and started my truck. AC kicked on, compressor began seizing and making loud grinding noises. Jumped out of my truck to find AC oil and freon flowing out of the compressor. Hours of work gone to waste, not to mention the $100 worth of freon laying on the driveway.

Just installed the compressor I bought for cheap!!!! $158.00 but i found a open box deal and got it for $38. Got the package and the box was a little rough, but the compressor looked good and was still sealed with the oil inside. All i had buy was new oil, one can of freon and a set of o-ring/gasket. Unit works great A/C is cold, i do have a little squeak no and then but that could be from coolant that dripped on the belt.

This pump arrived in good condition and was serviced with the correct amount and the right oil. The pump fit perfectly and worked well. I know it is an inexpensive replacement, but it does work; time will tell regarding durability. I was surprised at the quality of the castings for the price.

Lasted 9 years 2 months, then the clutch started blowing the fuse. Can’t beat it for what it cost. I just ordered another. Very happy with the purchase.

Very happy with the quality, packaging and fit. Exact replacement for our 2006 GMC Sierra k1500. FYI, it came with oil inside for shipment, be sure to order new ac oil with it, drain the packaging oil before installation and some refrigerant cans (find out your vehicle's capacity). Bolted on, still works perfectly! Great buy!!!!
