This game is so fun! We played it for the first time today with our two kiddos, ages 8 and 10. It was very easy to learn and each game is very quick. By the second game everyone had a pretty good grasp of it. Our kids loved it, and of course they were quickly attacking each other with their cards once they figured out how! They are already wanting to play again tomorrow. Our family has a ton of games and we love to play them often. I can already tell that this one will be one of our favorites for years to come!

I tend to bring this game to almost every group of friends I can and it's amazing how quickly everyone understands the game by just playing instead of explaining the rules before (even though there's a language barrier as I live in a spanish speaking country). Lots of fun with this game so far

What a nice surprise. This game is simple and cute, easy to get into, while allowing you to use a little strategy to nail your opponents. You've read how it works: each players gets 4 random cards and one "defuse card." During your turn, you have the option to play as many cards from your hand as you want - things like skipping a turn, making the next player take two turns, peeking at the next draw card, and so on. When you're finished, you draw a card (unless you played one that allows you to skip drawing). If you draw an exploding kitten, you're out, unless you play a defuse and then you put the bomb back anywhere (even on top, for the next player) in the deck. There will be one less bomb card in the deck than there are players, so you are guaranteed that all players (save the victor) will be blown to bits before the draw pile is empty. It gets really exciting near the end, when there are 2 players left, 5 cards in the pile, and one bomb! The strategy comes in when you decide if you want to just keep stockpiling cards, taking your chances you won't draw a bomb, or if you try to do everything you can to avoid taking cards. When you're left with two players, those skips can be very handy. On the other hand, saving that defuse till the end can win the game for you. The rules seemed kind of complex to get into, but this game really flows and reminds me a bit of Uno. My kids (8 and 11) had absolutely no problems getting into it and understanding how to strategize. It's fast-paced and each round takes maybe 5-minutes, similar to Uno. My only wish was that there was a larger variety of cards. One note: you can't "Nope" a defuse! We made this mistake a couple times before we got to that part in the rules. Recommended for good old fashioned family game night, and a great distraction from today's handheld devices.

Got this as a gift and ended up loving the game my self . Its so much fun and easy to learn especially if your not one for playing card games such as myself.

This game is FUN. If you are a fan of the artist's blog, you'll enjoy it that much more, but knowing previous work is unnecessary. The game is fun, and at first reading sounds very complicated, but it is in fact simple and quick. And a lot of laughs. Don't be afraid of the cards or illustrations... They are quirky and strange (like the blog :-) but not offensive. Okay, the TEENSIEST bit rude, yes. But funny. Wildly creative. This game allows 2-5 people to play. If you may have a larger group, do buy a second set of cards. It is money well invested. The game is like russian roulette. Each person draws a card. At any time you may draw an exploding kitten, and if you do, you die for the remainder of the hand. But, of course, there is more involved than that!! For the first round, keep the directions handy. You'll need them. For subsequent rounds you will probably not need them much at all. To begin play, everyone is dealt a hand of four cards (look at them but show no one) and one defuse card. The defuse card is your lifeline. Hide it within your hand. (Once you draw an exploding kitten card, you are dead for the hand. UNLESS you can play a defuse card.) You can play any card you have available... Some cards allow you to draw a card from another player's hand, some allow you to peek at what's coming in the draw pile, or to skip your turn, or make the next player draw twice... You CAN play anything, but don't NEED to play anything. Once you are finished playing, or if you've decided not to play anything, draw a card (and hope it isn't an exploding kitten. If it is, play your defuse) If you run out of cards, that's okay. Draw when it's your turn. If you accumulate so many cards they are difficult to hold, that's okay, too. (And better for saving your life!) Keep drawing at your turn. You are not penalized for cards you hold or play. The only goal is to survive drawing the exploding kittens within the deck, or to cause others to draw them. (there is an exploding kitten card in the deck for all but one player. One player survives the hand) Making any sense?? Order the cards, play a hand... It will all be made clear. It is a fast and silly game, very fun. Particularly with people who will enjoy the strange quirky weirdness of the illustrations. Choose your friends well. If you are still on the fence, just do it! What are a few exploded kittens between friends?

Its a game. Buy it or dont. Quality is good.

i have been ordering this game since past 3 weeks from amazon everytime there was an issue of missing cards and today finallyyyy i recieved the right product with all the cards cant wait to play this evening......

I was expecting something bigger for all that money.

Se da ragazzino odiavi il famigerato +4 e l'amico infame che lo calava per salvarsi, con questo gioco inizierai ad odiare anche i gatti! Trovo questo gioco molto divertente, facile da apprendere e veloce da giocare. Un gioco alla portata di tutti, riesce a coinvolgere anche quell'amico che tutti hanno nella compagnia, che odia i giochi di società. La confezione è davvero ben fatta e curata nei dettagli, anche la qualità delle carte è buona. All'interno si trova il manuale con le istruzioni 2 mazzi contenenti le carte da gioco e un codice promo per degli sconti o per alcuni avatar esclusivi per il gioco per smartphone. Il prezzo non è dei più bassi trattandosi di un gioco di carte, però c'è da dire che essendo nato da un progetto di crowdfunding è normale che i prezzi siano leggermente più alti della media. E' un gioco consigliatissimo a tutti, coinvolge fin da subito, e come UNO rovina molte amicizie!

Escribo esto tras dejar a un niño de 5 años llorando porque ya llevamos varias partidas y hemos decidido dejarlo por hoy. ¿Es que es un juego para niños pequeños? Pues no, no lo es, pero eso da una idea de lo entretenido que puede llegar a ser y sobre todo lo fácil de sus reglas, pero es que ahí precisamente está parte de su encanto. Aunque al principio cuesta un poco memorizar tantas funciones distintas de las cartas, solas o en grupo, una vez se han traducido las instrucciones y jugado una primera partida de prueba, el juego es realmente entretenido. Las cartas son realmente divertidas, los dibujos son bastante chulos y los textos son muy ingeniosos. La pena es que esté en inglés, no porque no se entiendan las instrucciones, sino porque se pillarían mejor los juegos de palabras que acompañan las ilustraciones, los "chistes" de las cartas al fin y al cabo. Para jugar, si quedan dudas, en Youtube se pueden encontrar partidas en español donde en seguida se entiende la mecánica del juego. El juego está indicado de 7 años en adelante, aunque ya digo que incluso niños más pequeños pueden entender la mecánica, y de dos a cinco personas. Pero se puede comprar otra baraja más y ya podrían jugar hasta 9 personas, cosa que pienso hacer cuando haya una versión disponible en español. Además disponible hay una versión para adultos, con los dibujos de las cartas un poco más violentos y "picantones".
