Once I placed batteries into the remote, all was well. Reconnected my television to my wireless Internet which has occurred due to area energy outage. No problems, directional pad, volume, and app buttons all work.

This is the fourth one I have bought. My dog loves to chew them up. The universal replacement remote control worked perfectly as soon as I turned it on. All the functions worked. A few of the control buttons around the home, options button were different but all the options were all there. I am super satisfied with this Remote . A great value for the price of the Remote.

Purchased this a few weeks ago to replace my original remote control that had a button start sticking. First noticeable issue is that it is not responsive. It can’t keep up with clicks or doesn’t register a button press/click at all. I thought I could deal with it, but it sucks. It is so unresponsive that I’m using my original remote control now by choice. Unfortunately, the packaging is gone, and it has been used for a couple weeks on and off. Unfortunately, I would have to say it works, but it is cheap, poor quality, irritating, and many other negative adjectives. Don’t waste your money!

The layout of this remote for LG TV's is perfect, and setup is easy: putting in the batteries (not provided) and pressing the power button aimed at your tv. The main issue is that the toggle to move the cursor around is hyper sensitive and tends to fly around the TV screen making it hard to click on something you want. The "enter" button is quite deep making it hard to keep the cursor on the item you want while pressing it. This remote has three ways to move the cursor on your tv: 1. Use the rolling toggle to move the cursor up/down, 2. Move the entire remote to place the cursor anywhere on the screen (like a game device), and 3. Use the left/right or up/down buttons (located around the toggle) to move the cursor in the direction you want. The problem is that when moving the entire remote to place the cursor, it tends to lock into the rolling toggle mode after a few seconds. All of the other functionality works beautifully and after using it a few times you can press the majority of what you need almost without looking. The cost is average although you can get it cheaper during one of Amazon's sale days. The voice button is primarily what I bought this for to reduce the amount of search typing. I don't think I'd recommend this unless you have patience to deal with the issues I listed above.

I'd been searching for a new Blu-ray player since my old one died an untimely death. Perusing a surplus shop the other day and came across a great little Samsung BD-J5700 unit, and because it's remote was missing, I picked it up for a song. It's always a bit of a gamble when buying replacement remotes, sometimes they work, or only some of the functions work, or they don't work at all. I'm happy to report that the Gvirtue AK59 is an excellent replacement unit for my "new to me" player. The remote also includes buttons to control a Samsung brand smart TV. Though I have not had a chance to test out the TV buttons as I don't own a Samsung TV. Otherwise all Blu-Ray functions work perfectly. Your mileage may vary depending on your model of Samsung device, though I would assume if your unit isn't too old, it should work. For the price it's a fairly low risk test. Construction seems solid, buttons have a good press feel to them, albeit button clearance is a little tight and if you've got big fingers it might be more difficult for you. Though most controllers these days have this problem. Runs on two AAA batteries. Back is curved instead of being flat, which makes it easier to hold. There is an indentation for your forefinger about 2/3 of the way up. Signal strength is decent, I tested from about 15 feet in a bright room, and an angle of up to about 45 degrees from centre. Reading through some of the other reviews that gave the unit 1 star. It seems that some people seem to think this is a universal remote, that can be programmed. It is not a programmable remote. It's a simple 1 to 1 replacement. You simply insert batteries and it works. No manual required, no setup required. Also, the ad lists the exact models of Samsung player that work with it so if your device is not on the list, it may not work. Can't fault it for that. I will of course update this review if I have any issues after months of use.

Compré indebidamente un par de controles antes de este, y resultó ser una mala idea para controlar una TV que cuenta con sistema 3D. Éste resultó funcionar perfecto con TODAS las funciones para una LG 3D de hace unos 4 años. Buen precio.
