Amelia Bedelia's First Day of School

It was a great first day of school book for a nervous little girl.

This book was great! Helped my nervous preschooler to not be as nervous! Cute and funny!

Great book for 4 y olds. Nice history accompanied by great pictures. We love all Amelia Bedelia’s histories. Very age appropriate!

Learning idioms and language in this fun way is a great way to begin the school year.

My 6 year old son is loving to read these books to me. He enjoys them quite a bit. It's just the right mix of fun but challenging books for kids transitioning into more complex "read aloud" stories.

Having loved Amelia Bedelia books as a child myself, I was skeptical this new book might be disappointing. I was quite surprised and found it very much in keeping with what you might have guessed Amelia Bedelia was like as a child. My 5 year old son liked it so much we immediatley ordered Amelia Bedelia's First Apple Pie. I hope to be just as pleasantly surprised with that book as well. If you are an Amelia Bedelia fan, don't hesitate to try out these books.

My 3yo might be a little too young to fully understand all the word play in this book, but he LOVES it! (I'll definitely introduce these multiple meaning words as we continue to read and re-read it). His favorite parts are when Amelia Bedelia runs into the PE teacher (OOOOF!), when the librarian wants their noses in the books (OUCH!), and when the teacher calls roll (HERE!) We originally learned about this book because we borrowed this book from the library. I ended up buying it because he loves it so much.

I always loved Amelia and was so excited to share this one with my class. They laughed and enjoyed the book!

I remember Amelia from my childen's young years - Lovely to see these books still going through a family member. My granddaughter now enjoying them - Light hearted and funny.
