Yes, it’s true the thing makes it tough to shut the middle console. Is it worth a tight fit and solid appearance? Absolutely. The cup holders and “phone slot” are perfect. If you smoke this thing is a must buy. I wish I had bought it sooner. Worth every penny.

This is awesome. No more rattly, fold-down, flimsy cup holders for me. That crummy thing is now nicely tucked away. This fits great, with 2 very easy modifications to overcome the the dreaded “won’t latch” complaint. 1. Behind the latch on the underside of lid, there is a little, round bumper. Pull that out. Might need a pair of needle nose pliers. That may be enough play to make it work. Just make sure the holder is pushed down tight. If that’s not enough and it is still really hard to get it latch, move to #2 2. This is much easier to do with the lid removed. There are 4 small screws on the rear hing that are easy to remove and take the lid off. After removing, unsnap the flat trim around the “cushion “ on the inside. It pulls right out. Unscrew the latch and put a (or a few, depending on the thickness) washers between the latch and lid. You probably need at least 1/8 inch. Reattach everything and you should be good to go. Mine is tighter that it was, but easily latches with a little more downforce. Bonus, if you care at all about aesthetics, it paints up nicely. Like all painting, prep is the key. I sanded it first, and taped off the parts inside the console sinc that’s all black anyway (and would easily wear away). For function, I’d give this 6 stars, if you even a little handy to do the easy mods. If you don’t care about aesthetics, 7 stars.

Not quitesure why they don't include a spacer for the latch strike to make it work. It's important to many but not enough for me to not use it. I prefer my cubs closer to reach and securely held vs the oem cup holder that will only hold canned drinks.

Love this!! Installed it on my 2006 Ram 1500. So nice to have more cup holders and a spot for my phone. Lid wouldn’t latch, but I was able to take it apart and add washers and longer screws to the lid and now it works like it should. Pretty easy fix if you know how to use a screwdriver.

Great for adding the additional cup holders but the console will NOT latch after installation, not evena close fit to latching! So, NO, it's NOT a perfect fit, but overall the cup holders are great.

It fit as it should but had to adjust the latch a little just shimmed the latch at it latched perfectly

Fits snug and stays in place. Works great get one! Note the latch does get affected by adding this product, It will keep it from connecting

He loved it. Solved a serious design flaw in his truck. Cupholders that come with this truck are useless. It does have a latching problem. Console will close but it does not do so easily. Simple to install. If you do not need to constantly get in and out of the center console, you will like this cup holder too.

It takes 5min to install, you have to put washers(included) on the bracket latch of the arm rest. It supports the big cups and looks great 👍 can easily be removed and put back if seat is needed.
