Amazon Basics 1/4 Inch Drive Click Torque Wrench, 35-200 in.-lb, 3.95-22.5 Nm

I like this torque wrench for casual works. I wouldn't say it's good enough for real pressure sensitive uses, but you get what you pay for. Adjusting bikes/trampoline nuts - it's ideal. I had to find a YouTube video to work out what the click was like when it reaches the torque - hopefully the video I uploaded helps. It's a small click, but if you're looking out for it you'll notice it. The best option is to go slow when you're getting close to the torque you need. You can double check if you've missed it by slowly turning again - it'll click straight away if it's at the right torque. Switch on the back to go from clockwise to anticlockwise. Torque only works in the clockwise direction. Easy enough to adjust the dial, just undo the screw at the bottom to loosen, turn the ribbed handle part, then retighten the screw.

Bought this to tighten up some rocker cover bolts on my Mini's engine cover. Perfect for selecting 88 inch-pounds (about 7 foot-pounds or 10 Newton metres). As that is quite a low torque setting, it was fairly essential to know all the bolts were tightened to the same value. I should also say this is still a substantial wrench (despite its quarter inch drive), and it feels well put together. The click is nice and loud as well, so no guess work involved in getting to the correct torque. Easy 5 star.

Works well at a good price. Good low torque values for the likes of spark plugs. Seems to have good build quality and I will use again in the future

For the price, this torque wrench is effective and works. However, it could work better. As mentioned in another review, the click isn't positive. Rather than a loud click to let you know it's up to torque, it's very muted and you can very easily over-torque. Another point it that once you have set the torque on the wrench and tightened it, there is still movement. But for the price, it does achieve its purpose, but there is room for improvement.

Finally I got the smaller torque wrench. Having both scales is helpful when you work with european us and uk manuals. Looks very good quality.

Terrible item. Snapped a bolt in my car engine. Was fine at 5nm setting. Increased to 10nm and it wouldn't click. Strongly recommend a different tool

Easy to use. Locking facility to ensure preset torque settings did not drift was a bonus. Enabled me to easily torque a number of girder clamps, which all required the same settings. Supplied with a robust protective case.

Great value for money!

Sehr wertig wirkender Drehmomentschlüssel und die ideale Erweiterung zum Werkzeugkoffer, wenn man die Nussen bereits besitzt. Die Bewertungen bezüglich der Skala hatten mich erst vom Kauf abgeschreckt, ich wollte mich aber dann doch selbst überzeugen. Meiner Meinung nach ist die Skala perfekt gelöst! Man kann den Drehmomentschlüssel dank der inch/pound Skala in Schritten von 0,113 NM einrasten lassen. Da hier einige Leute aber wohl einen einstelligen IQ haben, wird das Produkt zu Unrecht schlecht bewertet! Jeder mit ein bisschen Ahnung/Verständnis von Handwerkerei wird mit diesem Drehmomentschlüssel zurechtkommen. Die Leute, die das nicht schaffen, sind für solche Aufgaben sowieso nicht geeignet und sollten lieber gleich einen Experten bezahlen...

This 1/4" torque wrench is not something I often use, so I didn't want to spend a fortune to get one off the tool truck or a named brand. I took a gamble and bought this Amazon Basics one, and I am genuinely surprised at the quality of this tool. The range from 35 to 220 in.-lbs is perfect for my use, and I've found it to be dead-on accurate so far. The plastic case is solid and protects the tool well inside my toolbox.
