Terribly uncomfortable both as a chair and a sleeper!
We didn't want to spend a ton on a couch/sleeper for our 10-year old's room, so we settled on this one. There were enough positive reviews that I figured it was worth the money. WRONG! I was upset with my son when he sat on it for the first time and gave me a look of horror. I figured he was being ridiculous and spoiled, so I plunked down on it. Boy was he right, it hurts your back to sit on! The back is as hard as a rock (feels like wood or something). So that night we let our son invite a few buddies to sleep over. At first they all fought over sleeping on the futon, yet when it came time to go to bed I came in and not one of them were sleeping on it. In the morning they told me it was too uncomfortable. Again, they are 10-year old boys, so they can deal with something not being plush and cushiony. I laid on it and was shocked. Near the top, it feels like a bar of metal and some wood directly under the cheap lightweight material. So I spent another $200 to purchase a cushion to use as a back rest and a feather bed and cover for when it was rolled out to a futon. Didn't help. You can feel the uneven and hard wood/metal right through the featherbed. We are stuck with this piece 'o junk and wasted hundreds of dollars. Super bummed. Please do not waste your money.

Disappointed in Fabric
This chair/couch fit our size requirements to a T. However, the fabric in particular is low quality. Even water droplets will stain it. We have had it a few weeks and we have to figure out how to replace it as it really is startng to look shabby....Not sure how to get water stains out...If I put a damp cloth to it then it just increases the size of the stain....I recommend spending a little more for something of higher quality...I am updating my review because of the poor quality...the cloth seams are now starting to come apart.....This thing doesn't even get used by one person sitting on it for a couple of hours a week!Shoddy pathetic quality.....I am going to steer clear of DHPs other products. Shame on them! I wish Amazon would have some mechanism for dropping suppliers that can't provide quality in there offerings...But it is buyer beware...so you are duly warned....

Just Okay
Bought for my 12 year old niece to use when she sleeps over. She likes it but with reservations. She puts a comforter on it to sleep as otherwise the places where it folds are uncomfortable so you might need a mattress pad or something. She said it's not real comfortable as a couch so she just uses it folded out. Even though it says it's a two person, no way, unless the two people are very little children. My brother uses & recommends the Adult Jr.Twin Studio Chair Sleeper 26-Inch Poly-Cotton by American Furniture Alliance; only reason I didn't get that one is I couldn't get it shipped in time & this Dorel had two day Prime shipping. If you're trying to decide on a sleeper chair, I'd go with the AFA; slightly smaller but more comfortable. I also had trouble with the delivery; I live in a large apartment complex & normally the office signs for all deliveries but this required a "direct signature" so I ended up having to go pick it up, which was a pain since it's so bulky & heavy.

Please don't waste your money!
This chair is so horrible, it should be a crime to sell. It should be listed as children's furniture. The chair is not the correct size for an adult. When it is folded out at as bed, it is fine. When shaped as a chair, you'll need pillows to cushion the back rest. It is uncomfortable. And the material covering the chair is so cheap! It is not of the quality to be considered upholstery. Water will stain it. Water! This was such a waste of money!

Nice useful piece
Looks as advertised, assemble is just for the feet. Nice and low so it fits perfect at the end of my bed...not too high. It is a double sleeper, but really more of a single bed for sleep over for a family member or kid. I wouldn't try to sleep 2 people on it unless they were small children. I love it for a conversation piece or to watch TV in the bedroom so that company isn't inclined to sit on my bed...don't like that. So it's perfect for that. Hadn't had anyone sleep on it yet, but my daughter has unfolded it and laid on it to watch TV.

Waste of money, buy anything else, Ikea has something similar at the same price and FAR better.
Extremely uncomfortable, angles and sharp edges all over the place. The cushions have no support at all and sag horribly in the middle and somehow you can feel the springs(?) at the very bottom which itsself has no padding which makes the ability to fold it out absolutely useless since that one section is rock hard. On top of that the fabric along the inside face of the arm areas has stretched in since there is nothing between the fabric and the frame. Oh, and the fabric discolors for no reason at all. The *only* redeeming quality is that it is about the size I wanted. I'd demand a refund but I'd probably have to pay to ship it back first and the risk that they wouldn't refund me it isn't worth another cent of my money.

Disappointed
At first the product appeared to be of excellent quality and filled our needs perfectly. Unfortunately about 4 months into ownership we began to notice one side of the seat cushion was not returning to full height after being sat on. I complained to the company that built it but they couldn't or wouldn't help. I contacted Amazon and they wouldn't help because the item was over 90 days old. I don't think the overall quality is very good since the cushion collapsed on one side after only 4 months. It should certainly last longer than that.

Worst Item I ever bought on Amazon!
Worst Item I ever bought on Amazon! It wore out quickly. And is extremely uncomfortable. I've contemplated modifying it with wood legs and cushion covers but its just not worth it. I'll have to throw it out. This might work for young children.
