One: All Their Greatest Hits 1991-2001

CD looks untouched. Plays perfectly. At this price you can't beat it. I will only play once because it's going into my music apps on my computers so why pay the full price? The case was cracked, but as long as the CD is perfect, who cares? I will swap the case out with one I have laying around.

Great music from this band!

With all those "Greatest Hits" collections out there that contain one or two good songs followed by a bunch of unknown filler, it's nice to see one where every song is a winner. I'm basically a BNL newbie (I listened to "One Week" when it started getting airplay and said, "I like these guys!"), so I bought this CD because, simply put, it packs ALL of BNL's major hits onto one CD... yet it still leaves room for their lesser-known work, which I discovered and loved. Barenaked Ladies' true talent, it seems to me, is the ability to write seemingly light pop music that, upon reflection, camouflages a deep, pensive point. The selection of songs presented here highlights that talent, leaving the listener to stop and think after each song. As well, although BNL has a distinct musical style, each song presents a different facet of it, leaving a new surprise around every corner. (Speaking of surprises, it was nice to note that the two new songs on this CD are as fun--and as deep--as their earlier efforts.) I don't know what else I can say, except that the producers of this CD have packed as much value into it as possible. Other reviewers say this CD is even a good buy for diehard fans who have every BNL CD as it is. I just know that for a new fan such as myself, this was definitely the right place to start.

Amazon has listed this as the #1 CD in Jangle Pop. Don't know about that, but what is here is pretty good and very representative of BNL. The sound quality seems a little off, however. And there's the fact that BNL will always be the band that never quite grew up. A solid 4.

Barenaked Ladies have a great place in music. They release songs that are funny, catchy, and thought-provoking. This collection captures the ones that made it to the radio. Sometimes, that's not what you want as an introduction to a band, but occasionally it works. This compilation definitely works. I put this album into my CD player (well, usually my iPod) when I want to be in a good mood. There is simply no resisting the toe-tapping goodness of 'Alternative Girlfriend' and their early hit 'If I had $1,000,000'. 'Jane' and the cover of 'Lovers in a Dangerous Time' prove that the Barenaked Ladies aren't just funny, but can weave a tight song comprised of excellent vocals and a strong band. Even if this is the only Barenaked Ladies album that you'll ever own, go see their live concerts. A concert with them is not to be missed. They add hilarious improvs, do impromptu covers of any artist under the sun, and comfortably chat with the audience.

It was my birthday gift to my on my Birthday...she really enjoys The Bare Naked Ladies music and I did not know that, for I personally do not enjoy the music at all, but it made her day when I gave her a gift to open on my birthday. The music is driving me crazy, but making my wife very happy and that is all that counts...making one's wife happy. smile!

I am a huge BNL fan, and I LOVE this album. Just finished listening to it, and I am very happy I got it (and not just because I have every other BNL CD). It is a great CD for any BNL fan, from the seasoned fan who has all there albums, to the person who heard a couple of there hits on the radio, wants to get a CD, and doesn't know where to start. It has some of there best classics, as well as 2 new and two less common songs. The CD is worth it just to get a good recording of "Lovers in a Dangerous Time", and the two new songs. Its also nice to be able to get "Get in Line" without having to buy the King of the Hill soundtrack. This is a must buy for all you BNL fans out there.

I bought this for my mom since she lost her copy but also own a copy. I haven't kept up with BNL but I've listed and enjoyed everything from Gordon through Everything to Everyone. Aside from a handful of great studio tracks that made it on to their albums, there are a few live tracks (my personal favorite is the live version of Brian Wilson) and there are a handful of other songs which never made it on to any other album of theirs that I'm aware of. It's apparently been 11 years since I've bought a new BNL album but I still listen to this one.

Absolutes mega Topalbum! Diese unverwechselbare Stimme hört man überall heraus! Super Relax-Autofahr-Entspannungs-Mucke!!! If I had a million dollars...I'll be rich.

Well, what can I say? This album is worth every penny! They first came out when my family, wife and one kid, and myself of course, moved down to Lethbridge Alberta and the album "Gordon" came out and I bought that on tape and I just ate it up! It was a really really good album! As they matured in their music I also got older - as we all do - and I bought a few more of their albums as time went on and then when I saw this one I had to buy it and to tell you the truth, it was awesome that I did! A couple of the songs that are on their I could find and quite honestly, others I could have found, but I was so busy with raining kids and a young family I didn't worry about it...... I had to channel my money elsewhere as more kids came along and time carried on it's merry way. This album has all the greats! If you really liked most of the songs on it then I would get it because it is an excellent collection to have and VERY well worth your money! I'm glad that I got it! See ya!

If you’ve never listened to BNL before you are in for a treat.

Bought as 'one week' heard on the radio. Great to put in the car to listen to. Like about half of the songs but that is just personal taste. Glad I bought it
