Soft and warm and just right
I read a lot of reviews about this, and many other woolen blankets. I was looking for something that was 100% wool, and this was one of the few that came up that seemed worth trying. Whether it is actually 100% wool, or not, I really don't know. However, it is super soft and comfortable. The weight of the blanket makes me believe the percentage of wool is towards the high end. The company's store on Amazon looked good an informative so I decided to give it a try, even though some of the reviews were less than positive. Some stated the blanket had a strong chemical odor that would not go away. I feel bad they had this experience because it is not what I found in the blanket that I received. While there is an odor that is common to wool, I did not find it unpleasant or overpowering. Other reviews complained about the amount of lint the blanket left on everything it touched. There is a lot of lint initially, as would be expected. I highly recommend running the blanket though a few cycles on the "Air Dry" setting in the dryer. I ran 6 runs of 20 minutes and A LOT of lint was removed during the process. After doing that, there was no noticeable lint on my clothing or bedding. The blanket is much heavier than those I used in the military but I'm not complaining. It is very comfortable. I will be buying a few more of these blankets!!!

Great Blanket!
The categories above are not the best indicators of quality for this blanket. I bought it for its size, weight, and price. The size of this blanket is substantially larger to other throws and camping blankets. It fits a queen bed well. I also like the weight. It is a product of nature, rather than a manufactured featherweight pipedream. If you know you don't like wool products, this is not for you. If you are amenable to wool, this blanket is warm, comforting, and well made, at a fantastic price. The smell of the natural lanolin will subside with a few washings.

Very nice blanket
I specifically ordered this blanket for indoor use, not camping or bushcraft. At 5lbs it’s heavy and bulky for hiking into the woods with IMHO. The wool blanket arrives with a plastic zipper storage bag! A nice touch and makes storing it easy. How it feels: Texture is smooth but not “fluffy” soft like a Sherpa material would be. It’s very comfortable to sleep with even directly on the skin. Not scratchy of overly fuzzy. How it sleeps: Despite the weight it’s a relatively thin blanket. You don’t feel like your being crushed or smothered under it. It’s amazing to stay warm all night but not feel sticky from all of the sweating you do at night. The wool just wicks the moister away leaving you dry and comfy. I tend to sleep hot and to my surprise this keeps me more comfortable than anything else I’ve used blanket wise. I stay warm wile the blanket breaths. Many people are finding small stretchy plastic/rubber fibers in the blanket. I ask the manufacturer about it and was told this blanket is a mix of virgin and recycled wool. So apparently some elastic from old clothes got stuck in the wool. It’s still 100% wool though. All in all, this is a great blanket to have.

Great price for quality product
Took this camping in early October and helped a whole lot. The weight of the blanket help secure the blanket in place so that with every movement it wouldn't need to be readjusted and ensuring no cold draft came through. It's a bit scratchy so needed another softer layer for comfort. It almost completely covered 2 adults and 2 kids. Washed it in machine before usage and still looks like how it originally did. Smells like wool even after the first wash, not a bad smell but does have a slight odor. Love that this is 100% wool, for a very affordable price. Overall great purchase for the price and quality.

Not warm despite tight looming
Updated 1/23/2023: Even though the blanket failed to keep me warm, I did like the look, feel, and size. I have since bought two more blankets in different colors. I have stacked the three blankets and now I get over warm in 70-72 degree ambient room temperature and need to fold the blankets back to cool off. Back in December 2022 my area experienced an extreme cold snap and the outside temperature was around -40F. These three blankets did an excellent job of keeping warm in a room that had no heat. I did not over heat, I did not sweat, and I slept the entire night. I still feel these are NOT great blankets, but in layers I was able to get the level of warmth I needed. Original review: After several nights of use I've come to the conclusion this blanket, by itself, does not keep me warm enough. I sleep bare in an air conditioned room with a 12 inch fan on low speed for air circulation. I can sleep with cotton blanket or polyester blend and be plenty warm. But this 100 percent wool blanket kept me chilly. The blanket initially was very stiff but loosened nicely after several nights. Looming is tight and stitching is good. This blanket is good at blocking drafts but lacks the warmth necessary to being warm enough. Good overall, but I now understand why there are more expensive wools on the market.

Looking for a wool blanket? Get this one.
I literally just got this, so I'll update later as it gets use, but my immediate reaction is that this is totally worth the price. Preface: I'm a wool snob, I have been knitting for 20 years, almost always with merino, and I also spin my own merino into yarn. Out of the package, this wool camp blanket is hefty and, much to my surprise, oddly soft! I was fully expecting a very scratchy wool, which I was ok with because I plan on using this as an added insulation on top of my sleeping bag/comforter, but it's actually pretty danged soft. Not 17 micron merino soft, but absolutely soft compared to most regular wool. It has small amounts of veg matter in it, which is cool with me too, since it just means the wool wasn't mega processed. You can feel that it has a small amount of lanolin in it still as well. It is shedding a bit, again, I expected this, so I may toss it in the dryer on air dry to help remove some of the excess, but I have a dog, so it'll end up furry either way. Smell: It smells a little sheepy, no other scent, no yucky chemical smell like I've read most camp blankets have. This is the main reason I opted for this one over cheaper ones. Overall, I believe this will be a well loved, heavily used blanket for me. I am constantly cold and my kids are constantly hot, so I already own both a giant, thick down comforter and a smaller down throw for the living room. Throwing this on top of my throw increases the warmth factor dramatically. I cannot wait to use this while camping in the mountains!

High quality, heavy wool blanket!
Impression: Thick and heavy, this is an excellent cold-weather/emergency blanket for your vehicle. I live in Michigan and winters can be brutal. -that was the original intent- I liked the weight and feel of the blanket so much, I used it on my bed until the heat of late summer came back. Color (grey) is true to photos. Edging is a white four-thread serge (I believe) and appears to be good for keeping the edge neat. I didn't find it very scratchy as some others have noted. I may bring it back to the bed when the cooler weather sets in. If I continue liking it as much as I think, I'll have to buy another for the car! Measurements: Tightly folded- I have a 3" thick, 11 1/2" wide and 18" long bundle that weighs in at 5.08 lbs. The material thickness is nearly 1/8" thick and overall measurements are: 91 1/2" x 68 1/2". Odor: I noticed a faint lanolin smell that other reviewers noted. After a week, I don't notice the smell unless I press my nose into the fabric. Overall: Very happy with this purchase and will not hesitate to order another!

Strong Dye Smell, Nice Quality
This is a recycled fibers wool blanket. It smells like it was dyed with strong chemicals and despite being "triple washed", it has the distinct odor of an industrial dye vat. I've aired it out in the full sun for a couple days, but the smell persists. I'm reluctant to try washing it because it's so heavy, so I'm hoping the smell will fade over time. Be aware it will smell due to the manufacturing process! In my opinion, some reviewers just aren't as sensitive as others to smells. I think it's still very much worth the price, being 100% wool, and I'd like to buy another if I can find a way to air this one out.
