Digitally remastered and expanded edition of this 1981 live album from the Classic Rocker including one bonus track. Recorded at Cobo Hall, Detroit, MI and Boston Garden, Boston, MA, Bob Seger's milestone live album contains an exclusive never before released bonus track "Brave Strangers". Nine Tonight features the live versions of massive hits such as: "Old Time Rock And Roll," "Hollywood Nights," "Against The Wind," and "Night Moves". This version also features restored artwork and updated packaging. Review: THE REAL BOB SEGER - "Nine Tonight" provides a snapshot into the sound of a 1980s concert by Bob Seger. It is filled with all of Seger's hit songs plus many lesser known ones that fans appreciate. It is a superior record to "Live Bullet" which is a very good record but this CD contains all of the big hits from Seger's biggest records late 70s and 1980 plus a live version of "Night Moves" that is better than the studio version. It also provides a different intro to "Ole Time Rock n Roll" that Seger didn't perform in the 1986-1995 concert tours. The album is a blend of 1975-81 Seger material that has become legendary over the years, which makes it the strongest Seger album currently available to the public. If you wanted to buy one Bob Seger record, this is the one to buy. It combines the best songs from his best albums. You will miss some of material from the mid-1980s and 1990s but this album represents the essence of Bob Seger. The only thing missing from Seger's released material is a boxed set of the huge depth of unreleased songs recorded over the years that did not make the cut for his studio albums. Various sources familiar with Seger's music, bootleg CDs of unreleased songs, and interviews given by Seger during the years 1978-1995 indicate a number of gems not included on albums because many had the feel and sound of songs like "Against The Wind". One can hope Seger will release a boxed set of unreleased material in the near future. Review: Love it! - Received in great condition and earlier than expected! A gift for myself this Christmas season! Thank you!

No nonsense live album!
This is a very good live album. Lots of energy and flawless musicianship. It includes most of Seger's hits and better known tracks from his late 70's period, as well as several live versions of songs off the Against The Wind album. One song, Trying To Live My Life Without You was taken as a single and is only available live. There's also a beautiful version of We've Got Tonight and a rollicking Chuck Berry medley to close the album. A great live album and a must for anyone who enjoys Bob Seger's no nonsense rock and roll.

This is a great live album!
I bought this on LP when it first came out and it immediately became my favorite live album. So many live albums lose the balance between the music and the audience, where the music overpowers the crowd to the point where you lose the thrill of the event being "live." "Nine Tonight" carries the perfect balance here, as well as providing a nice collection of great rock songs, like "Against The Wind," "Night Moves," and "Rock And Roll Never Forgets." My only complaint about this CD is the need to shorten the final song, "Let It Rock," to fit it onto one CD. That song highlighted Seger's rapport with the audience, and the abridged version is not as good as the original. Other than that, I highly recommend this CD to all Seger, and rock and roll, fans!

Why not release all of the original album?
This is an excellent album as far as a good sampler of Bob's music at the time, and his great abilities as a live artist. My only problem is with the editing of the original release for cd. In my opinion, the best performance on the original album was "Brave Strangers" and it's not even here. And why edit the last cut on the disc? Yes, it was on "Live Bullet" and was better there, but still... Why not put out the complete album as originally released and add a few bonus tracks to fill out a 2nd cd? Believe me, Bob's got enough fans that would buy it immediately--just look at the clamoring for his back catalog of classics to be released.

Bob Seger - Nine Tonight Vinyl - Great Record Set - Great Collection of Songs
A very good album. I like this one a bit better than the "Live Bullet" collection of songs. This plays more like a "greatest hits" live. I have enjoyed playing it several times for myself and friends. We all have enjoyed taking that step back in time. The album arrive in very good condition and plays very well on my Project turntable. A great value and glad I added it to my collection.

Midwestern Rock At Its Best
Having seen Seger and The Silver Bullet Band in concert several times back in the day, it was great to play the record of another live performance after their string of studio albums. They were just the best in concert playing to a live audience--as good as rock gets. I have a great memory of Alto Sax appearing in spotlight atop a stack of amps wailing on his horn. If anyone has a photo of that, I'd love to see it. It is no coincidence that Seger often ended live performances with a medley of Chuck Berry songs. The Roots of Rock and Roll!

Bob Seger Live Recording (Remastered) Boston Massachusetts ~ Excellent CD. Production is very good considering the age of the original version. I was pleased to receive and continue to play at high volume through Quad amplification system much to the annoyance of the Arabic neighbours. When asked to turn the volume down ~ I was astonished to hear that they don’t like American music. Byron.

文句なし!ただ一点だけ。ビニールのLPの2枚組知ってる人は最後がなんだかなぁですね。 大人の事情なんですかね。やっぱCDで長いLet It Rock聞きたいな。

It's Seger plus a hard to find live bonus track of Brave Strangers. Enough said.
