KREG Precision Router Table System, Kreg# PRS1045

I never thought I'd spend this much for a router table. But after reading the reviews I decided to just do it and I'm glad I did. This thing oozes quality. I ordered the entire setup...table, fence, casters and all the other accessories. It took a while to get it assembled and set up. My ONLY complaint is the instructions were a little vague in one or two areas. But, after looking at the equipment and some pictures online I got it all assembled and adjusted. There is a procedure to square up the fence. It wasn't necessary as everything on this table was square once it was assembled. All the parts of the table are nicely finished and the fit was perfect. The steel frame is of a very heavy gauge and all went together smoothly. This is NOT a lightweight table. It's quite substantial. I have no idea how much weight this will support but it's got to be hundreds of pounds (not that you'd need it for that...just for an idea of how heavy duty it is). I mounted a Bosch 1617EVS router to the table. Drilling the holes in the router plate was very simple with the "target" type centering template on the back of the plate. Just use caution not to drill thru the hole for the starting pin. That's very easy to do so keep that in mind while centering your router for marking/drilling. Ask me how I almost found out the hard way! One thing I noticed is the micro-adjuster that's pictured is different from the one that's included. The one that's included is a dial type that mounts on the fence bracket at the end of the table. Speaking of the fence, it moves effortlessly with one hand and stays square. It locks in place at both ends of the table. It also came with a measuring tape that mounts to the top of the fence...very handy. There's also a second tape that mounts on the fence bracket at the end of the table for very accurate adjustments of the fence. The casters are almost the highlight of this table. They are very sturdy, roll quietly and easily, and all 4 lock in place to keep the table still. They work very nicely. I made just a few test passes with a couple of different boards. Everything worked as advertised. The fence stayed true and remained locked in place. No vibrations or unwanted movements in the table while things were locked in place. The fence extensions were also helpful. If you want a top quality router table, this is it. I can't wait to really put it to use. UPDATED 03/04/2017: I just noticed today that the setup bar package included 2 of the 3/8" bars and no 7/16" bar. I've contacted Kreg for a replacement.

Fabulous router table! It makes me wonder how I lived with my shop-made one before. It assembled quickly and easily. Kreg quality is excellent. The frame is rock solid. The table and plate are router plate are flat. I thought the setup bars would be a nice-to-have feature as part of the kit, but I bought this bundle for all the frame, wheels, switch and stop. What a difference the setup bars have made in speed, accuracy, and repeatability over using calipers. The only negative turned into a huge positive. The top arrived with a crack in the laminate on the back edge of the table. It is behind the fence and would not impact performance. Still, I was a little disappointed. I contacted Kreg to see what they would do. They shipped replacement top that afternoon! They solved it in one email. The only reason we exchanged a couple more emails was so I could thank Billy H for his amazing, fast support. Great product and great company interaction.

I've used this router table for about five hours now with a Triton TRA001 mounted in it. Overall, incredibly happy with this table. So far, the positives are: Very solid and stable. Casters roll smoothly, and lock easily and securely. Power switch is very handy, given how inaccessible most router power switches are when mounted in a table. Table and fence are smooth, flat, square, and true with no adjustments out-of-the-box. I like the featherboards better than the ones I had, I now use them on my table saw as well. Setup bars are also a very nice touch. Use those at the table saw as well. Only a couple of negatives I can think of: Drilling the insert to mount the router was a pain. Not sure if I was using the wrong drill bits or had the speed set wrong, but it smoked A LOT and burnt out my drill bit pretty bad. Didn't quite set off the smoke detector in the house, but came close. Also, when I drilled the hole for Router's lift crank, the plate blew out a bit. Doesn't affect the function at all, but it is a bit unsightly to have a very nice router table with a blown-out hole in the top. Be nice if the fence would slide more easily. To move the fence, I need to grab both sides of the fence and move them together or it will bind-up. The dust collection port snaps in place on the back of the fence. I've had it un-snap at least a half-dozen times so far when moving the table around. If you bump the collection hose at all while it is connected to the port, the port will un-snap from the fence.

Had reservations about buying this tool due to the expense versus how much I would use it (I don't do enough woodworking to necessarily warrant the cost). Boy! Was I glad I took the plunge! Took on a job building toy storage shelf units out of birch plywood for a local pre-k school. This table paid for itself immediately. NEVER NEVER would I have gotten the results from my ancient bench top router table that I got from this precision tool. The result I was able to achieve was easy, quick, precise, and wonderful! I'm no expert at all but this tool gave me renewed confidence in what abilities I do possess. I was almost sad that I finished the project and had to stop building.Now I have some ideas that I would never attempt without this tool that I can't wait to try! Solidly built, fun to put together (surprisingly a lot of parts are involved but they fit perfectly, a joy to assemble).

Haven't had alot of a chance to try out, although I did test and make sure the fence was straight and does offset as said. Very pleased with quality and strength of stand and caster wheels are good and go off and on easy. Top is thick enough. Though price was fair with all extras.

Warum der Frästisch hier bedeutend günstiger als bei Sauter selbst ist, ist mir nicht klar. Über 50€! Mit dieser Preisgestaltung möchte sich der Sautershop wohl selbst abschaffen !? Das Produkt ist klasse!

Das Material ist gut. Die Lackierung hatte ein paar Läufer und unterschiedlich dick. Ein Gewinde im Fuß müsste ich neu schneiden. Es fehlten zwei Unterlegscheiben. Die Bohrungen an der Platte waren nicht genau. Nach all den Mängeln ist der aufgebaute Tisch gut und der Winkel zum Anschlag passte fast auf Anhieb. Für das Geld hatte ich aber viel mehr Qualität erwartet.

Assembly was straight forward as instructions are good and everything fit well. Table is solid - as it should be at the price. Would be 5 stars if cost were less - you do get what you pay for but this certainly is not a steal.
