Great Investment
Fit, form, and function are all PERFECT. I wrapped up the installation late in the evening and managed to reinstall the MAF sensor backwards (don't do that!) so the initial startup was less than desirable, but my mistake was obvious and easily fixed. Once everything was corrected, the truck started right up and purred like I was hoping for. That purr turns into a growl on the freeway and reminds me of my younger muscle-car days. I installed it along with the addition of an AFM disabler and so far I'm seeing a slight (like .5) increase in MPG. I'm sure there's a little more there but it's still too early and too fun to get on it for an accurate overall increase. The instructions are decent. I did resort to some YT videos, and I was a little disappointed that some things weren't preassembled as they easily could have been, but nothing worth docking a star for. All things considered, I would definitely recommend this mod. The extra airflow and power boost is well worth this minor investment!

Follow steps, not a problem.
2 hour install, Took my time. Pretty easy following the supplied step by step instructions with pics. I read where the instructions wasn't worth a crap, maybe they've revised them, I had no issues. First test drive was amazing! Sounds mean! Until I get used to it, I think my gas mileage might suffer a bit. I like to hear it suckin. UPDATE; installed on 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 4x4 5.3l. I did not unhook the negative battery terminal, never threw a code however after installing I ran down the road a few times not noticing my mpg. The next morning I noticed the mpg was 12.3, I was sick about it all day at work. Researched a lot of fixes which folks tell all kinds of stories. I noticed on my way home, after work, that the mileage was slowly ticking up. 3 miles later I arrived home, it got up to 13.6. I had a glimmer of hope. I drove that afternoon on a 55 trip. It had gotten up to 24.0. I was overjoyed to say the least. So in short it needed to recalibrate to the new conditions. Next day I seen 24.6 plus I had my foot in it a few times seeing 90mph once. I hope this helps someone to give some insight of what you might experience as well. I love it!

2019 Chevy Silverado 6.2L
Wow, this was a great choice. The installation was not difficult at all. The hardest part was getting the air box into the compartment. It’s a tight fit. Once in, it lines right up. I have a Black Widow edition Silverado with the 6.2L. So the truck has custom dual exhaust. It had a strong exhaust note before but after this, man it sounds good. It gives it a deeper growling sound. When I step on it, you really can hear that 6.2L breath. There is a noticeable jump in power. You are not going to get a noticeable difference that will really push your hair back but it’s still a noticeable difference. In my opinion it’s the torque that you notice most. The 6.2 is a strong engine in itself but with this much on it, it feels like it is launching even faster. I have a lift and 37 inch BFGs and it spins those with easy. At times it’s hard to keep traction when taking off. I love this intake. You will get a filter notice and once you need an oil change on my model but no engine lights. Just bolt on and go.

2020 GMC AT4 5.3L install.
Installed on my 2020 Sierra 1500 5.3L AT4. Instructions are fantastic and easy to follow. It took roughly an hour to install. Take your time, follow the steps watch the video first if you aren't mechanically inclined. I changed my intake and muffler and saw a 3.8mpg increase on the highway. My truck has more get up and go. Quality product. Only downside is it uses the old intake tube that goes through the radiator mounting area. The whole cut for this to be put in is very tight and it does not fit easily. You'll need a thin screw driver to slide around the intake tube so it can fit into the intake housing. Slide it around to squeeze the lip inward so it inserts into the new air box setup. The tight fit is good but K&N should have made the mold put outward about an inch so the old intake tube section sits further in. See photo 2 and 3. It barely fits inside the housing and could potentially pop out so check it if you leave the pavement to make sure it's still where it should be after off roading.

Increased fuel economy
Seems to be working good with the accepting of my truck constantly giving me a check air filter warning. I just deactivated the alert. Instal was not horrible thanks to online Youtube videos but included instructions were not very good. I am seeing an increase of about 4-7 miles per gallon and love the sound. Increase in HP is not really noticeable.

Great quality, highly recommend
Installation of the K&N Blackhawk Cold Air Intake on a 2025 GMC sierra 1500 Crew Cab 5.3 V8 was a breeze. This is the first cold air intake I have installed and it took about two hours. The instructions are very well laid out and include pictures, which is very helpful for someone like me who is just learning how to do car modifications on their own. The product itself is excellent. Love the way it sounds and I can definitely feel a slight power increase.

Questionable Design
After looking at how K&N does their box on the inside of the engine compartment & how they use a metal tube across the engine for the air flow which to me isn't a good use of materials because what conducts heat more? A metal tube or a heavy walled plastic tube? METAL DOES! And how do you know you are getting a precise seal on the metal box the air breather is in? You don't! Which also brings to mind that the metal box the air filter sits in is also METAL! All I see is you having a lot of metal in how they do their set ups introducing more heat into the equation than necessary. So then WHY do they call it a "Cold Air Intake" if all they are adding is a lot of heat thru conductivity?

I had Borla exhaust put on, sounded ok, good rumble. However, after I put this intake on with that exhaust, it completely changed the sound for the better. Deepens exhaust sound and adds a sharp snappy growl to it. Now almost sounds like I am opening up a 4 barrel carb when I walk on it. Changed the sound and responsiveness, improved driver experience and makes you want to drive like a youngster.

This is the real deal,,, Add HP and Torque, you definitely get what you pay for here ! For my 2022 High Country just had that little engine growl that you would want you 6.2L to have , thrust me ,,, In my case i guess they drop the box somewhere, i hade a small dink in the intake pipe, nothing that i couldn’t put back round 👍🏼👍🏼
