These are absolutely great scissors. They are nice and sturdy and very sharp. They have an interesting shape that makes it easy to grip the pill. I have large hands, a man's extra large in a glove, and i'm able to get a very good grip with these small scissors, partly because the holes that your thumb and finger go through are plenty big.

I’d give this item a million stars if I could! This is the best invention for cutting pills into smaller pieces. I have a medical foster kitten that needs several pills. I only had a regular pill cutter, when the veterinarian said I needed to give my foster kitten a 1/4 of the tablet instead of 1/2. I thought my regular pill cutter would be okay, but I was so very wrong! Fragments everywhere!! I found out about these and was blown away. They operate just like scissors and can cut the tiniest pill into quarters. This item handles well, cuts precisely, and cleans well. It also makes cutting pills fast. I’m so sold I do a show-and-tell whether anyone wants to know or not! Well worth the price and will save your sanity!

These work extremely well! Easier to handle and a more accurate cut than you'd get from those plastic pill cutters that you snap shut. I have to cut thick pills in half every day for my dog's arthritis, and they are perfect for that. But caution: they are *extremely* sharp. Be very careful about keeping your fingers away from the cutting edges. Do NOT leave them out where children might find them and try to use them on something or imitate you cutting pills. They are as sharp as a razor or good kitchen knife, so store them out of kids' reach.

This works great! My son has to take some pretty big pills that needed to be cut in 1/2. This easily cuts the pills with no mess.

I think this is the best or one of the best quality pill cutter out there. Most alleged cutters on here are made of cheap plastic and more crush than cut. Theres also issues with pill size in those and if course they break easily. There was one made out of all metal but there were reports of still crushing a bit. The scissors are really good but of course there are cons. For one there is some crushing (although very little) depending on the pill coating and fragility. If you have arthritis and hand disabilities or issues this isn't for you. The small pills can be a pain but you have control of the cut and angle so it's basically a give and take situation. If you have the dexterity and ability to use the scissors it's a breeze and super effective. The size of the pills is also a variable as you will have to hold it.If you have mobility issues or arthritis and the like maybe the all metal one is best although I have no idea if it's performance.

This is by far the best pill cutter and most accurate I've used. I've tried 8 over the past year and a half - just about every different kind and type. I take a lot of medicines (a LOT - pills, capsules, and tablets) of varying shapes and sizes. When one of my meds switched from an oblong average sized pill to a SUPER tiny teeny round one and I was directed to cut in half, I needed one that could cut it properly without causing any crush or debris. So my search began. I tried several kinds that had "secure in place" and "holders" and "extra sharp blade" and all sorts of things. They ALL left some crush residue behind and had a rate of crush and uneven cuts that made them frustrating - even if they were easy on my arthritic hands. These scissors - while not quite as easy when dealing with arthritis, they are still manageable for me - have scissor blades that are wonderfully sharp for the pills, which makes a CLEAN and EVEN break leaving me with two perfect halves and no dust residue or ruined/disproportionate doses. But the "blades" like any scissors aren't the kind that would cut YOU, leaving it safe to use one hand to hold the pill in the scissors and adjust as needed and continue holding it gently while using the other hand to use the scissors and cut the medication without fear of cutting your hand if things fumble or any mishaps. This makes them perfect in every conceivable way for me, and easy as pie to take with me to use where I am no hassle. One year later of cutting multiple pills every few days, and the scissor blades FINALLY MIGHT be starting to get slightly less sharp. I think I may want to replace them in a few more months time. Thats some really good wear factor! And theres been no distressing of the metal of the blades with wear or washing (no discoloration, uneven wear, rusting, etc etc). Definitely recommend this listing. If youre looking for a pill cutter for something small (too small for majority of the hinge cutters even when those list they are good for "XS pills") that leaves no residue and never destroys or unevenly cuts, THIS IS IT.

I've tried several different pill cutting devices and these scissors are hands down my favorite! They cut very easily without crumbling the pill, and they're easy to handle. Very quick and comfortable to use. 10/10 will be buying these again

This is my third pill cutter and finally the best one! I have an 11 year old 85 lb lab with multiple medical issues and the pills are large and they don’t even fit in the usual cutters. This scissor cuts perfectly and easily. I am so happy with this product.

It's most effective PILL CUTTER there is, only hitch is It's pricy.. Most cheap plastic box cutter come off hinge. One cheaper product bought on AMAZON was really bad. If you're serious about medical tablets' cutter, this is THE ONE..

I often have to sit my medication to obtain a correct dose. Although this scissor shows the size of tablet it work best for, I have found it quite reliable in splitting other sizes and shapes. The trick is a steady hand and to find exactly where the scissor should sit in relation to the score line. It may take a couple oops e but the learning curve is quick. I have used it on unscored round and oblong tablets. A matter of a little practice is required. It is sharp and does not crush pills like those splitters that are a small plastic container with a blade that cuts a pill that sits inside a V-shape space.

It’s a must have for people who want to cut tablets in to half, one fourth etc it will do that job very well

I tried several different pill cutters and none worked very well. This is the first time I tried the scissor type. Sure wish I had sooner. They are very sharp , cut right where I want, and waste almost no medication - unlike the other types which often left me with uneven doses and a lot of the pill just crumbled and wasted.

The right quality product
