Cutter broke off after 3 uses
i purchased this rabbeting bit in Jan 2021. I needed it for a specific project. It worked great. I used it on 3/4 pine AND to make some rabbets and on 3/4 ply (same project/2 uses). I was super impressed. Fast forward 2yrs later, I needed to use it again on another project and as soon as the bit hit the pine board, I saw a spark. I immediately turned the router off, checked out what could have possibly happened & one of the cutters on the bit broke off. No idea why or how IF it was just pine. No nails, screws or pin nails on the board, or project for that matter. This project is an 18x24 picture frame so I was rabbeting the groove for the plexiglaass & backer board. $20 for 2 uses in the course of 2 yrs. I definitely do not recommend this router bit. It's definitely 2 uses & done!

Good value unless you want to cut a 1/2” rabbet
I built a sideboard this week and I used this bit to create the rabbets needed to attach the panels to the frame. It created a clean cut. I did not give it a 5 star rating because it damaged my workpiece when I tried to create a 1/2” rabbet. The smallest bearing, which is needed for the 1/2” cut, is stiff. The outside of the bearing turns at the same speed as the shaft of the router causing significant friction burns in the workpiece. As you see in the picture, the bearing attached to the bit has turned black from the friction burns it created in my workpiece. It started out looking like the other one pictured. If you don’t need a 1/2” rabbet, this is a great product.

Good price for the tool
Needed a router bit for a one time project I received additional size bits at much less than single high end bit . Great value for the home owner.
