Good scanner does the job, a little confusing

It works great. Diagnoses issues quite easily. The first connection was flawless and did what I would expect. The next day after attempting to fix the minor issue, trying to reconnect and diagnose was problematic. Ended up clearing cache and Uninstalling the app. Even after reinstall it was hard to get a connection. Once I got it linked properly AGAIN... it performed as expected. Short version : app needs some work when reconnecting

Very easy to use.

I got this to check what my idle ECT1 temps are before the S-VCM install and after as I need to make sure the temp ECT1 sends is 165F to prevent the VCM from being able to engage. I like the graphing for it (so far, I think it can only graph one live data sensor at a time.) The custom view is nice too, where you check off only the sensor readings you want to see live. Can connect to the RS2 app with blue tooth from your phone to this once you pair it, which is simple 1. Plugin the 3040 to the obd2 port 2. On your phone, turn on blue tooth 3. Turn your car on 4. Open the RS2 app and choose connect to scan tool then follow the app instructions. I can't seem to pull reports yet from my phone from the device, have to spend more time with it, but it looks like you should be able to. I did get a red flashing EVA/CAT/EGR on a new car, not sure why, car has less then 260 miles, will call them and find out what it could mean. Update: Reporting does work, I just needed to exit and come back into the app. Just need to find out why those sensor reports are showing up as incomplete (see attached image)

nice quality and price!

Love this, read codes and clear them, even though it doesn’t wipe every vehicles code it does majority of the brands we know and love. Not to mention great price for a tool that can scan and wipe codes.

Hit and miss

Mein Mann faehrt einen Ford F-150 und unser reader konnte den Fehlercode an seinem Truck nicht erkennen. Mit dem Innova OBD2 Scanner/Car Code Reader war der Fehler innerhalb von Sekunden ausgelesen und mein Mann wusste genau, was mit seinen Bremsen los war (was ja nicht unwichtig ist). Wir sind begeistert. Klare Kaufempfehlung!

Utilisé pour lire code de mon Mercedes 3500. Compatible mais ne lit pas tous les codes spécifiques. Facile à utiliser et permet d’effacer le Check engine. Permet d’évaluer l’importance de code pour mieux planifier les entretiens essentiels. Peut aussi donner les infos en temps réel ce qui est utile si on connaît bien son véhicule et les seuils à ne pas dépasser.

Has more functions than my old Innova. An essential tool for the Car owner . easy to use and Read codes .

Worked fine to diagnose and reset my ABS problem on my Jeep. No live data but it tells you which sensor is not working.
