Why did you choose this product over others?: I cut the cable off a clapped out electric cultivator I was scrapping. Got one of these sockets to make the old cable an extension lead.

Tight fit for thick cables. But looks robust
Looks the part. It's a bit of a tight fit to get heavy duty thick cable in it that will handle 3amps for 20 hours or more , but I did , so it's possible
