I’ve been using the NRSV Holy Bible for a while now, and it has quickly become one of my favorite translations. The language is clear and respectful of the original texts, without feeling overly complicated or hard to follow. It strikes a great balance between accuracy and readability. What I really appreciate about the NRSV is how well it works for both study and everyday reading. It’s detailed enough for deeper Bible study, yet still flows smoothly when reading devotionally. I also value that this translation is widely respected by scholars, churches, and educators it gives me confidence that I’m reading something reliable. The layout is clean, the text is easy on the eyes, and it’s not distracting or cluttered. Whether you’re new to the Bible or have been reading it for years, this version feels approachable and thoughtful. Overall, this is a solid Bible that I would recommend to anyone looking for a faithful, well-translated, and readable Scripture. A great choice for personal study, church, or daily reflection.

What a beautiful Bible. Lovely font, gorgeous blue leather, and a easy to understand version. As a family we have a friend who was going into the US Army. Before he left for basic training we purchased this Bible for him to take along. Very pleased with this purchase and pray that it brings him much comfort. God Bless.

I am very happy with this Bible! It is perfect for a daily reader. It includes the Apocrypha and I want to learn more about the books that are not included in the other Bibles I own. It is a gorgeous dark green teal color, with an additional personal plus which is smooth and bright white plages. I literally have not put it down since it was delivered, last Wednesday . I have several Bibles that have accumulated (collected lovingly from family and my own journey with The Lord's Word) in my house and different versions: study Bibles, a Thrive journaling one, completely illustrated one (The Epic Bible), The Message etc and my study Bibles were very dear to me but also very chunky and big bc I bought large print. I needed a smaller version with the Apocrypha to learn the other books and also have one I could carry with me and this one is absolutely perfect!!! It is exactly what I needed. I am very happy with this purchase I also think it is great considering the price for the quality. Definitely have no regrets whatsoever getting this. Now I can carry it around with me as I'm taking my son to all of his appointments and therapies. I also enjoy the short, sweet and info packed sections in the front of it that explain a lot of things; some things you may know, some not. It would be a fantastic Bible to give somebody who is beginning in faith and/ or graduating from a study Bible to a simplified daily Bible to read and carry with you every where. It is perfect.

Love the color of this bible. The pages are thin like you would expect for most bibles, I appreciate that each book has an explanation at the beginning, such as, I did not know that Genesis is comprised of oral stories. I find these interesting and helpful.

Beautifully made. Lots of helpful content. The first part of the book has a lot of good info regarding what we believe, what the church is about, timeline of church history, etc. At the back you can find some colorful and helpful maps. The paper is thin like many other bibles and could tear easily. The edge is gilded in gold and it has two ribbons in different colors as bookmarks. I love this feature. The Bible is so well made and feels of good quality for the price (under $30). The cover is flexible with a leather feel and feels “warm” and comfortable when held. The color is more of a blueish green, dark teal and not as green as pictured on amazon. It’s really a pretty color. It comes in a hard cover box which makes it ideal as a gift. The text is anglicized meaning that some words, grammar and punctuation is done in the manner that English is spoken in the UK and British Isles, like saying whilst instead of while, or labour instead of labor. I’m not bothered by it. The text is easy to read, the don’t is not minute like other Bibles I’ve seen. The thin paper does allow for ghosting but it’s not bothersome to look at.

Love the maps and history inside. The papers are thin. Sometimes I don’t realize I’m skipping pages because they stick together. Cover is luxurious. I wonder how thick the bible would be with regular recycled paper?

It's a Catholic Bible 😁 self explanatory. I do read it daily. Its a good book. I am glad I bought it. Well worth the money it cost. Wasn't expensive. Bibles can be really pricey sometimes.

Beautiful bible with soft a deep blue leather front and back included with gold trim on the pages. Serves as a perfect gift idea for someone who may be receiving their sacraments or even to purchase for yourself, a friend or loved one! This bible brought me closer to my faith, and having a physical copy of the bible encouraged me to read my bible more and make some notes whilst reading. That being said this bible does not offer room to make notes as there is minimal space in the margins, however if that is the case for you I recommend using highlighters and sticky notes, or simply purchasing a note taking bible. I would also always recommend opting for a physical copy of the bible as I sated before, I felt more encouraged to read it rather than looking at an online version via my phone and being more susceptible to distractions and notifications. This bible is the perfect size to to carry in a backpack and not too heavy. Also i did not find the text too small or too difficult to read. I've used this bible to follow along with the Bible in a Year Podcast as they use the catholic bible and have not ran into any issues. The bible also offers additional pages in addition to each book, including, but not limited to bible history, a glossary of terms, colored maps, extra background information, and a "How to Read The Bible" section which are also very nice additions.
