Easy to use
We managed to eradicate the problem within a month. Have continued to use and have had no reoccurrence.

The only box moth protection you need!
Don't use anything else! Will defo get rid of box moth if you use it properly and follow the instructions. Expensive but it works and has protected numerous box in my customers gardens. Combine with a moth trap and the relevant pheromone for double protection. Thumbs up!

Definitely better than some of the other products out there
If only I'd have known about these nasty little blighters this time last year! I have (or should I say had) about 30 little box tree bushes around the front and back of the house. Around this time last summer we had an absolute infestation of caterpillars which devastated our bushes. A little bit too late I discovered about box tree moths and caterpillars which have only recently made it to the UK. Alongside spraying with Xentari and picking off several hundred caterpillars I managed to salvage maybe half of our bushes, the others were beyond the point of no return. I've tried various different lures in 3 traps and found this one to be the most effective. It doesn't catch all the moths but it does catch a lot. You just have to be prepared and keep a keen eye on the bushes for any sign of the caterpillars, silky webs, dying leaves, etc. then spray them with Xentari and so far this year we seem to have been able to help the remaining bushes recover. Unfortunately the ones getting the least sunlight are still struggling to recover but others are doing very well. It's a bit of a faff, but with determination, careful monitoring and use of pheromone lures and Xentari I think you can defeat these little blighters. The only negative is that these refills are pretty expensive and you'll need a few each season from here until whenever, but they definitely work well. Maybe in the long run it would be cheaper to just dig out all the box trees and replace with something else but I'm not ready to accept defeat just yet. Would definitely recommend over some of the other lures out there.

Box tree moth
Used this in the trap for the moth. Bit fiddley and no moths caught yet.

Haven’t worked to date.
In two seasons now we haven’t caught a single moth. They just don’t seem to work! We have the caterpillars, because my wife has picked them off our box hedges

Inadequate amount supplied for one moth trap for a year, very, very expensive and not necessary
The pherome does work, but as others have said, will not catch all. I have also seen moths escaping the moth trap. The amount supplied will do one trap for a year inadequately as the pherome stuff quickly disappears, especially in poor weather. It's much better just to spray emerging caterpillers at the right points in the season: end-April to mid-May, late July to mid Aug. This varies a lot, so you need to keep a log and an eagle eye out to try to catch the first emerging caterpillars of each cycle. Again, Top Bxus spray only does a very small area - they supply only 15g - much better value and more flexible, is Di-Pel 500g - same stuff. Also, call round neighbours who have box in the garden and enlist in same regime, to stop theirs coming down the road. This has been most effective in year 2.

2 leere Plastikkapseln.
