This is a subtle but amazing laser show made to look like a star-filled night sky. I'm not crazy about the "nebulous cloud" feature but it doesn't need to be turned on and doesn't detract from the enjoyment all around. My 7yo and I have even "discovered" some constellations we have named. Try it out and enjoy. You won't be disappointed unless you are looking for a true planetarium-like experience. I wish there were more to it; like a way to add things or change colors but it is cool for children "camping" indoors or relaxing with your partner. I don't smoke but blowing smoke, vapor or spraying an aerosol near the lasers will really impress the younger kids when they see all the green "spiderwebs"...though I should say, you shouldn't be smoking in front of kids. Review: Love my Star Projector - This item was purchased just after Christmas as a present to myself. I had been wanting something like this but hesitated for a long time. I finally saw a review of this exact model on YouTube. I decided to buy after watching that video. I am very happy with the product. I recently had a party and used it. Everybody loved it....and it made everything so beautiful. I will say that the less light you use, the more intense the display. No light at all creates a fantastically intense display. There is movement among the stars. They seem to have a rotation, almost like it is floating on your ceiling. I do wish there was an option to view the starlight in a white in addition to a green. The blue nebula cloud is beautiful and can be used by itself or with the stars. Careful not to look into the device. It is a laser and can damage eyes. Keep away from kids and pets for this reason. If you have it perched on the floor, please be careful if you have dogs or cats who may want to go up and sniff it. Eye damage is possible.

Broke down after only two months use!!
My wife and I enjoyed this starry laser show every night for a few hours up until it stopped working, after only two months use. Nice and enjoyable product when it worked. Beautiful stars and celestial clouds. But somewhere within its' mechanical workings, absolutely poor quality and workmanship. There was no detectable damage to the shipping box or plastic housing of projector, no loose parts inside. So, what's the excuse? Don't buy, it'll only break your heart when it quits.

Best Laser Star Galaxy gadget out there!
We've tried a couple others, but this one is hands-down the best. Even on the brightest setting it's not too bright (some of the others are so bright it's hard to use them as a night-light), and with the adjustable brightness/dimmer knob for the nebula cloud you can turn it WAY down without losing the image if you want. IF you're looking for something to use WITH other lighting it may be too dim for you, but if you're looking for something in your bedroom or that you're only planning on using at night or in a very dark room, this is perfect. The laser stars are perfect, some are large and some are tiny. They float in all directions, which is really nice (some of the other products available have them all rotating in the same direction, which can get dizzying if you like to lay in bed and just watch). 13/10, would definitely recommend!

Been waiting years for this!
Just received so can't speak to its longevity just yet, but this is so amazing, exactly what we were looking for. It's meant to go in our baby's room but since he's in our room right now we are lighting it up in our room. Stars are beautiful and clear and nice, some are stagnant, so it feels like watching the real constellations. Wish there were different constellations you could switch out but this is fantastic either way. Love the blue nebula! I took a video but can't seem to find a place to upload here. Posting a photo I took during the daytime because I couldn't wait till nighttime. This is so much better in person! Update: posting unaltered nighttime photo in our room. 4 times use and the light went out. The engine is still running and the blue light "nebula" still works but the bulb burnt out I guess. Need to replace or return. Any suggestions on what bulb this thing uses?

My son loves it.
My 5 year old loves it. Every now and then when I turn it on it will sound like it is running rough.. but if I turn it off, wait a few seconds, then turn it back on, the sound normally goes away. I like how it looks on the ceiling. The lights travel in different directions, rather than in a circle like most. Pretty cool aspect. Looks more realistic. Not sure about the green color but over all its great. Works perfect as a bed time night light with the 2 hour auto shut off.

Not worth the money
Awesome, when it worked my daughter loved it she would fall asleep under the stars for a whole month then it would work every other night then about 2 months in the laser went out which is honestly the best part since the blue cloud isn’t as bright as in the pictures. Definitely not worth the 80$ that’s crazy now I have my son and was looking into purchasing something similar and remembered about this product and how I swore I would help the next parent or family by giving this honest review so yea that’s the deal nice for a bit (couple months max) then sorry baby no more expensive night lights.... wish they would have at least replied to my complaint email all those months ago...

Very cool, works better in big rooms with vaulted ceilings
Very cool, works better in big rooms with vaulted ceilings, but overall the effect is super cool. Makes some noise, not too bad. You can run the green laser "stars" independent of the purple "aurora" light and vice versa. I bounced back and forth between this and sony star projector light and in the end - I think this light is really cool. Would buy again.
