I really like this Polyvine crystal clear Lacquer, ordered it to varnish coasters and place mats, works well on both, no sticking or heat marks with 3 thin layers. Tried mixing some pigments with it and found that works really well too, paint the whole coasters with that and get the vibrancy and protection in one. Also tried it with acrylic paint, again works well, then tried with some acrylic and glue mix...that was interesting, it clumps and gives some wonderful textures (or a mess, depending on your view point). Love this and have already ordered more.

Used this so far to varnish and seal some decoupage coasters , glass jar and shells. Was perfect and nice finish, easy to use and clean brushes etc.

Using for varnishing glasses, very good but found I cant cover large areas without it looking streaky

Absolutely brilliant!! I love this varnish and this is my second bottle. It does everything it says on the label! Don’t hesitate to purchase. I use it on items decorated with decoupage paper, painted decoupage surfaces, decorated items using sections of material and decoupaged items using stripped back wallpaper of many different qualities. It’s worth every penny!

I had quite low expectations for a water-based lacquer, but this has really impressed me. I applied several coats to some home made fishing floats. It has a good consistency - not too thick and not too runny- dried quite quickly, produced a glossy and seemingly hard-wearing finish and was easy to clean off the brush. Time will tell how well it lasts, but I've fished with the floats a few times already and, so far, the lacquer is unaffected by the water. Recommended!

After 3 coats this lacquer stopped drying completely and left a slight stickiness - as many of the Polyvine varnishes do. I was hoping a lacquer would be better.

Not happy with result. Far better with spray laquer.

I used this product to seal a gold leaf wall and it performed exactly how I hoped. The lacquer went on smoothly and dried crystal clear without altering the color of the leaf. The gloss finish actually enhanced the richness and shine while providing a strong protective coat. It was easy to work with, low odor, and the final result looks very professional. Highly recommended for anyone sealing gilded surfaces or decorative finishes.

Polyvine Crystal Clear Lacquer (with the marbles on the picture) is my ‘go to’ varnish for all my decoupage and crafting projects. It is superior to all other varnishes and leaves a smooth and protective finish with the added advantage of being fast drying. It is also food and child safe. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

This is a fabulous product, but did not quite stand up to the strains we put on it. It was recommended as a sealant for gold leafing on shoes. However, the flexion points on boots proved more intense than the pumps the original artist used, and this was not strong enough.

Very disappointed and I would advise everybody not to buy during the winter months. I absolutely love polyvine products, but they are totally useless when they arrive in a solid mass and a total waste of money. Maybe the seller should provide heat packs or a way of keeping t the product from turning into a solid mass that is totally unusable after all it is quite a bit of money
