I love the story and characters. Since it will be a while until majority of the later volumes are adapted, I figured I would read. I have always loved the dry humor in the dialogue from the show, only to be further surprised by the light novels. The author delves much deeper into the characters than we see in the anime or manga. Volume 1 succeeded expectations, so I have much hope for the following volumes Review: Not what it seems - Bought this thinking it a Romantic Comedy. So I was disappointed in that respect as there is nothing funny about this. Yes it is a Romance but mostly it is an astounding story about the Quantum Mechanics of Social Media! I am so glad i bought this. Amazing stuff. The science of Adolescent Syndrome is terrifying! The characters are so interesting and their stories compelling that you wish you could help! Wonderful craftsmanship! I applaud the Author! Only sort of problem is it takes place in Japan and i don't have a clue about most of the city names and the train lines. Perhaps a map would be helpful. Buy this book! you will not regret it!

Adolescent Syndrome…what a concept!
I can remember when I first watched the anime for this book, it was both captivating and thought provoking. How many of us had done something really embarrassing in school and we just wanted to curl up and die and wish we could just disappear? What if that had really occurred? Would schools have been a lot less crowded? Would the population be smaller? What would happen when someone died? Would they magically reappear? Good question.

A more complete story
If you liked the anime, you will surely love this novel. I hesitated at first, since I didn’t know how much a regular novel would hold my attention, but I was pleasantly surprised at how the book keep drawing me in page after page. As other reviewers have said, this book covers the first ARC of the Anime, but in much more detail. At points, I felt like the characters were much more human than the ones portrayed on other adaptations. The witty dialogue, sarcastic comebacks and interesting plot points are all there, but they are further enhanced with richer detail and great storytelling. One of the things I enjoyed the most was actually knowing what sorts of thoughts the cast were having as they engaged different situations, much more that could be portrayed by the animations body language. The book itself is very slim, the story being around 218 pages, trust me you’ll be eating more as soon as it’s done. So don’t make the same mistake as me and get the next volume as well with your purchase, you will not regret it. The only negative I can think of has nothing to do with the story or quality of the book, but mostly with the release schedule for the English translations. As of date, only 3 of the 10 books have been translated, and their release schedule seem to be quite slow (next one doesn’t come out until March). So once you are done, you will join most likely join the hundreds of fans who will be eagerly awaiting the next release...

Enjoyed this Light Novel!
I thought this was a wonderful light novel. For what you would have expected to be a light hearted sci-fi/fantasy romance, this cuts remarkably deep into concepts of peer pressure and group think.

Beautiful story.
I initially watched the anime and movie of this series earlier this year. While it's probably my favorite series, I still decided to read the source material. I was very happy with how faithful the anime clearly was. Since there are a decent bit of differences with certain scenes, it made reading the novel very enjoyable. I definitely recommend this story to everyone. These characters are very well developed and the story is always intriguing!

Light reading
It was a fun read. Nothing too intense. There were a few slightly mature themes but not unexpected. Overall enjoyable.

Pretty much just the anime, but well worth it for fans.
I bought this because the anime was my favourite of all time. I wanted to read the light novels since the start, and I was incredibly happy with this. The translation is a little clunky at some points, and some of the lines from the original don't quite translate, but overall I was happy with it. The interesting thing for me was how faithful the show was to the light novel. Barely anything got cut or added, a few scenes were changed around, but other than that the novel is the show. If you're only interested in the extra story, don't bother. If you want to own some physical merchandise, I wholeheartedly recommend. Hell, they might even translate the newer volumes before their anime adaptation

I don't have much to say other than GET THIS BOOK! I'm assuming you're here searching up "Rascal Does Not Dream Of Bunny Girl Senpai" because you just finished the anime and the movie, and you want more. That was the case for me, and since my girlfriend mentioned the light novels were being translated, so I went and ordered the first two light novels. This book covers the first 3 episodes and reading it helped me realize something's in the anime that I didn't before. It goes much more in depth (as expected) and is an overall pleasure to read. If you like the anime, this is a must buy.
