Jell-O Cherry Gelatin Mix (3 oz Boxes, Pack of 24)

Cheaper than JELLO and just as flavorable in my opinion.

The jello gets a five star rating, but the price isn't a deal. I didn't do the math before I purchased this from Amazon, but I checked my supermarket for its price afterwards. The supermarket sells it for 65 cents, and the Amazon price for this item works out to 86 cents a box, so I guess I won't be buying it from Amazon again.

I love Cherry flavor - it's one of my favorites, but it's not as common as flavors like Strawberry or Lemon... There's not too much to say about Jell-O brand by itself, so I compared it to store-brand and Jolly Rancher brand. Jolly Rancher and Jell-O taste the same... a somewhat straightforward cherry flavor with a bit of sourness. The store brand is a more aggressive, but flat Artificial Cherry flavor. Which would I go with? The cheaper one... to be honest. They're all fun and tasty, and by buying them online, you are paying a premium... but it's Cherry flavor... The only better flavor is Sour Apple.

This review is for Jell-O Cherry Gelatin Mix in 3 oz sizes and a 24 pack box. This is artificially flavored as it says conspicuously on the box so they are not trying to hide anything. There are no artificial sweeteners or high fructose corn syrup in here which is great to see. I prefer sugar as a sweetener over many of the fake ones out there. One of the great things about Jello is the ingredients are very simple, just like their puddings or anything else. There is a handful of main ingredients and the rest is less than a few percent and makes up the color and flavor of it. Gelatin is the main thing in Jello and it is made from animal parts so if you are vegan you should steer clear(little joke for ya). I love Jello and will continue to eat it though. Flavor. This is just as tasty as it is from anywhere else. It tasted like cherry to me and Jello'd up just fine in the refrigerator to be enjoyed by all. Price. This is priced the same as my local stores are. Technically it is a single penny more per box here, so 24 cents extra. Not enough to worry about and I am happy to pay the penny premium here to have them delivered straight to my house. Crazy to think that Jello has doubled in price in about 10 years though. Overall a great deal in my book that I will buy again once I run out. I do wish they had a variety pack and maybe they do but I just have not seen it. That way I could buy a bunch in bulk in several flavors.

Jell-O is one of those desserts where we know it's ridiculously unhealthy and full of nothing but sugar, artificial food coloring, artificial flavoring, and plenty of cow bones and hooves, but danggit, we still love it. When that glorious box of twenty four 3oz packs showed up, the kids immediately opened a box and made a pack. The Jell-O was fresh, dissolved easily, and made four servings within a few hours of setting. While these aren't as cheap as buying the 3oz packs when on sale at the local market, I'm totally okay with paying a little extra since I don't have to leave my couch and it's delivered directly to my front door. If you love cherry Jell-O and want a LOT of it, this is a great pack to order.
