Really nice and really cheap
Parsons Desk with Drawer - purchased 6/5/16: SHORT VERSION: This is a really good deal for a desk that looks this nice. I have bought two of these and would recommend them. Nice looking color and faux grain, easy to build, and strong enough to be a desk (but not a ladder). Pros: +Price - I was going to build a desk from materials but this cheaper than buying the wood alone, much less the drawer. +Style - Looks great +Easy to build - seriously anyone with functioning hands can do this one. +Not real wood - no need to worry about water rings from cups! Cons (I am being really nit picky here): -Drawer - the drawer doesn't fully extend so you have to dig around in there if stuff is in the back. -Edges - the edges of the table top are kinda sharp on your forearms. I just rubbed it with some sandpaper to fix that. VERDICT: Buy it, it is really cheap and good quality. I would buy it again in a heartbeat. FULL REVIEW: Looks (5/5): The finish is well represented in the photos. It is a laminate covering over particle board (and laminated wood on the legs). Function (4/5): This desk does exactly what you want. It holds your computer off of the floor. The proportions are good and it is fairly sturdy. When assembled properly, there is a small amount of glue on the pegs which help to keep things together. See assembly section for more details. It ends up not being too loose or wobbly, and feels reliable. I wouldn't stand on it though... The drawer is a small drawer, which is fine, except it doesn't fully extend beyond the end of the table. This means that you will have to dig around in the back of the drawer underneath the table top to get things if they are back there. This is a very cheap desk, so I am not removing a star for this, but worth noting. My macbook pro 13" (late 2013) fits inside of the drawer and can be inserted and removed with a small amount of clearance - really small. If you have a larger laptop you might not be able to do it. A keyboard and mouse would be no problem to tuck away, though. Assembly (5/5): Assembly takes about 20 - 25 minutes if you aren't working at a feverish pace. The steps are very easy, all told 5 diagrams on the manual. You basically just put glue on the dowel pins (4 of those), stick them in the ends of the legs, and then put two bolts with lockwashers and washers into the legs through the table sides. Very easy. It is actually pleasing to see that they include the glue, as a lot of furniture doesn't even think to require glue, and it is hugely important. The glue comes in a small squeeze tube and it makes it easy to apply.

A MUST BUY
The desk is undeniably beautiful and very simple to assemble. And trust me, coming from me is saying a lot. All you have to do is turn the desk over to assemble the legs. Then you apply the included wood glue in each of the four corners. Each leg will be marked either B or C and you will input each of them as directed by their directory booklet. Then you insert two screws in each leg and tighten them with the included Allen wrench. Voila, there you have it. I would also like to add that I appreciate the easy to follow directory, it makes a huge difference when assembly directions are easy to follow. However, the Allen wrench I received was inefficient on the short side, while the long side fit into the screws like a glove. Thus making the final tightening of the screws a bit frustrating. Now the body of the desk itself is surprisingly sturdy. But, I found the legs to be slightly on the light side. Nonetheless, it’s a wonderful product. I bought it on sale for about $37 and was hoping upon arrival that I didn’t end up with a product where I would have to say, “Well, you get what you pay for.” I am simply ecstatic that I received an amazing product for such an amazing price. It suites my bedroom well. I would recommend this desk for people who live in a dorm room or have a very small bedroom. It is very space efficient, but because of this, it’s not meant to hold a lot of things. The drawer is a lot smaller than I had hoped for, but it is still able to hold my basic necessities like my pens, pencils, stapler, and mini notebook. The only downside is that unfortunately it came with several small dents. It was nothing major though and I fully intend to keep it. Not to mention, I received a partial refund for the damage. Love!
I absolutely love this desk. I was skeptical after reading some of the reviews but it matched the décor so I went with it and I am so happy that I did. When the pandemic first began I was using a laptop in my living room on a flip out folding table-the kind people use to eat dinner in front of the TV. Well I went back to work onsite and was told a couple of months later that I needed a desk in a closed room that would fit 2 monitors (19 inches wide), a docking station, my laptop, a keyboard and a mouse (at least 38 inches wide and 18 inches deep). My apartment is not that big which meant I had to put this whole set up in my bedroom (because of the closed door situation) and my bedroom is not big. I have a queen size bed, a chest with a 49 inch TV and a small night stand in it. I told the company No, I couldn't manage it but they persisted. Well I turned my room around and bought this desk and it worked out perfectly. I initially looked for a 32 x 15 desk, I thought the smaller the better but I had a wooden desk out on the porch that was 38 x 15 and set everything up on that and I needed more room for the keyboard and laptop (I used that desk as a measurement ). BTW, I am writing all of this because I was very very against putting a desk in my small apartment, let alone my small bedroom and I know you all are skeptical too.. Long story short, I changed my bedroom around, measured and measured and measured, researched and researched and had 3 desks in mind but went with this one. It fits and matches the other furniture in the room. It looks phenomenal as if everything should have been this way from the start. I matched it with the Home Office Chair with Lumbar Support ( a best seller on Amazon, another item I was skeptical about-review will be on that chair also, same pics) and now I have more than enough room to do what I want. It was very easy to set up. the drawer is already attached so all you have to do is add the legs. The legs feel very light but the desk is sturdy, no chips or bumps, shipping was fast. 30 minute set up and no help is needed. Great height and fits everything I need (enough room to write too). The drawer is not deep-I have a small notepad, sticky notes, pens and that sort of thing in it. Not sure if it'll fit like papers and folders, I didn't try, doesn't seem like it would but If you are trying to make a decision and you keep looking at this desk get it! Very sleek and clean looking.

This desk is my DREAM MAKEUP VANITY because...
I used this desk as my new makeup vanity and I absolutely love love love it! I've always wanted the Ikea "MALM" dressing table, but could never afford the almost $200 price tag. I have been on the hunt for something similar that is much more affordable and OMG this is it! I was a little worried about having to build this when the box arrived and I was so relieved when it arrived, the whole top is already put together, you just have to screw in the four legs, which took me all of 10 minutes. (pay close attention to the directions for the legs, each leg is made for a specific corner for a reason) I inspected everything to make sure there were no dents and scratches because of some other reviews I have read, but it was packaged very well and it arrived in perfect condition. See my pictures for measurements! Also the perfect size to be able to fit a chair underneath! The only thing that I'm not too crazy about on this desk is that the drawer does not pull out all the way (see my pic). There's about 4in. of drawer space that does not pull out, so I find myself bending over to find some of my make-up that's toward the back that I can't see. BUT because I am so in love with this desk that is now my dream make-up vanity, I'm still giving it 5 stars!!! Pros: - very affordable & compares to the almost $200 "ikea MALM" dressing table (just smaller) - so easy to put together, took me 10mins. - well made/sturdy/looks expensive - arrived in perfect condition (not one scratch!) - perfect for make-up vanity Cons: - the drawer doesn't pull out far enough, leaves 4in. of space that doesn't pull out (but like I said, I am still giving it 5 stars because I'm so happy with this desk!) I absolutely love this desk!!!

Parsons Desk White 3STAR
This is my review of this product, we owned several Ik3a products and this one in comparison on quality and design is like 2/5, I purchased this one coz its cheap and fast shipping included, I'm hesitant to purchased it coz I know base on the price the quality is not that good, you'll get what you paid for. Ok-so if you don't want to add 20-30$ more for the price so this table is for you, but if you want to have a good quality and well built go for the ik3a, I owned an ik3a Micke model w/c I fully recommend in comparison is way to far. So here are some information you need before deciding buying one -Wood quality being used is not that good some kind of low quality particle board -Legs are very light its hollow inside, its not compact wood -Poor design since there is no panel on the side that will support the table not to wobble, so overtime it may becomes weak -Sharp edges, corners -Drawer is some kind of joke, 5inch opening, it is pre-installed so you don't have worry if you break it while installing, you can put a short copy paper size inside (2inch thickness) -Table top surface is a little bit rough not smooth compare to ik3a tables -Easy to install you only need the 4 legs attached that's it, drawer is already installed (Tool included) -I put my 20in LCD monitor and a Laser printer seems ok, if you want to place your computer is just fine, it will support both LCD screen+CPU but I think the printer will no longer have a space Design: 2/5 Quality: 2/5 Price: 3.5/5 Overall Rating: 2stars Recommendations: To avoid/to lessen the wobble issue you can buy a flat bar 2x39in w/holes on the end and screw between the 2 legs to add more support, you can also use wood/shelf available at your local home depot Overall if you want a good quality go for the ik3a micke table its 20-30$ more+ shipping and you will get a good quality but If you want a standard cheap table w/ shipping go with this model

Not the most solid desk, but still a good value.
Is this the solidest, sturdiest desk EVAR? No. It's under $50 for crying out loud. However, it's still a good value. It's got clean lines, it's roomy enough for my needs (laptop, second monitor, keyboard and notepad) but doesn't take up unnecessary room, and it was a snap to put together (took me all of 20 minutes, tops.) The drawer came assembled, which was a huge help both in terms of assembly time and sanity. The drawer runs very smoothly as well. It does wobble ever so slightly, which could be attributable to one or a couple of factors: 1) I didn't go crazy tightening the screws - I have had some bad luck in the past with this, so I tend to be a little over-cautious; 2) I have this sitting on carpet, and it's not a heavy piece of furniture (which I rather prefer since I would be the one moving it.) However, since I'm not going to be overloading it with stuff, or leaning on it, I can't imagine this will be a huge concern. It's definitely sturdier, and better looking, than something you'd get at Wal-Mart for the same (or higher) price point. Since I'm not sure why it wobbles, I don't feel comfortable docking a star, at least not at this price. If I'd spent 2 or 3 times what I paid, I'd definitely rate it differently. Ethan Allen, it is not. But, if you need a small desk and you like the look of this one, I'd recommend it.

Will Not Last and Will Not Stand Up to Use
I would call this the "furniture of humiliation and despair". It is mainly particleboard painted with a lacquer-like veneer; the legs are single pieces of wood with the same veneer. It comes with streaks and small chips from the production process. Mine came with a broken drawer which I returned for one with a slightly less broken drawer. The drawer will not pull out and close again smoothly; something is wrong with the hardware/construction. The legs are just sawn off, no edge or bottom paint, making legs very prone to chipping from bottom up, like when fingernail polish begins to come off a manicure. It looks as though they paint long pieces of "leg-shaped" wood, then cut it into many legs and save steps. Rather than finish-painting each piece, they leave raw wood cuts at the leg bottoms. The paint veneer is very thin and brittle, again much like a dried coat or two of nail polish. This black paint finish also shows every fingerprint and, somehow, is almost impossible to clean without leaving a smeary finish. It screws together mostly straight, but has some uneven edges showing gaps of unpainted wood where it shouldn't be. On black furniture, these light-colored, unpainted gaps can be seen from many feet away because of the contrast. The gaps result in a very chintzy appearance, like factory seconds or student first-try, woodshop-project desks. It can be readjusted and touched-up with black paint, a fine brush, a steady hand and an hour or two of painting the gaps until it seems straight; after that, it must be left very still and untouched to keep its' appearance from shifting back to uneven. How useful is a desk that shouldn't be touched? This will act as a place-holder until you can buy something that will last, like "prop furniture" in a theatre (don't look too close). It will chip, gouge and scratch so easily that it will not look somewhat decent unless it is handled with great care. THIS IS NOT FOR CHILDREN OR TEENS! Kids will destroy this fragile thing in short time. No matter how much you tidy the room, you will see a chipped-and scratched piece of uneven furniture every time you look at it. They really should not waste the materials used making and distributing something this badly made. These will all end in landfills far too soon. It makes me sad thinking about making something this temporary and calling it furniture.
