This is my third Scansnap. I treat myself to a new one every five years or so. When I worked as an office manager this is the only scanner I would buy. If you need to scan pages in a book or something use the camera on your phone. But I clean up a stack of papers (neaten the edges, etc.) put this in the scanner and it takes less than a minute and you have a beautiful PDF. Up pops the window so you can name the file. I cannot tell you how many years Fujitsu has been the lead in the scanner market. If you are lucky enough to have one at your desk at work YOU KNOW exactly what I mean. If you have 300 pages to scan, break the pile into six piles, scan them individually and use Adobe Acrobat to make a binder out of it, rename it and you have a 300 page scanned document. It's so so frustrating when I don't make a lot of money and I have one but executives don't have them at their house or vacation home.

I find the scanner itself to be fantastic. Compact, fast, silent. The real issues begin when you try to find answers to your questions. Rather than have your questions answered in a direct and simple way (not simplified, just direct) you're taken to an infinite number of websites only to be exposed to more useless information that is beside the point. Information about The "Scan to Cloud" feature is nowhere to be found. By "information" I mean: where do I sign up? Do I pay for this? How much? The malleability of their software is only hinted at. Apparently I can customize the hell out of it, but... examples, please? A tutorial? I know what I need but I cannot find anything on that web (sorry) of webpages that go blah, blah, blah (all true, mind you), but not useful in any meaningful way.

Fabulous - so easy to use - love being able to chose what files scanned copies go to - fast and small size makes it a great choice for my office area

We had a couple of the older Scansnap models, this is the new and improved version. The old ones were awesome to use, but this thing is amazing. Fast, quiet, and user-friendly. Highly recommended!

It arrived right away, exactly as promised. Had a bit of trouble installing the software, due to needing to first uninstall the old ScanSnap software. Once that was done, it worked perfectly. I only use it to make printed copies and to create pdfs, but I use it really often for those purposes in my accounting practice.

It's easy to install & set up. excellent & amazing quality and easy to scan and manage documents.

Huge fan of scans apps. I bought this one for home because the one at my office works so well. The newer model is even better. I highly recommend it.

I ordered this product because the reviews seemed fantastic. Once we received the product, I waited a while to use it as we did not have a need at that time. Once I began to use the software, there were immediate and continuous paper jams. Scanning became so bad, I had to insert the papers one by one (wasting so much time for a product that claims to be so efficient!). I then started to get mulitple error notifications that didn't actually give an explanation of the error. I contacted the seller for a return and was told that due to it being more than 30 days, I could not return their faulty product. This is extremely disappointing, as I have only used this product on one occasion. I highly recommend shoppers look elsewhere.

I looked for months for a home office scanner. I looked at Epson, and Cannon and then finally settled on this one after seeing that the secreatires at work had this brand. Really love it. Easy to set-up. Works on wifi very easily. Also hardwired it into the back of my router and I now can also use it on my home network. Super fast. Crops receipts easily to the size and orientation they should be. Easily to program quick buttons to scan to E-mail, or to specify the type of document you are scanning so it can be saved in a particular folder. Haven't used it enough to get a feel of the automatic file naming, but that is super easy to override so I am not too concerned about it. Great little unit.

Had the 1500 this one is great too easy to use and touch screen makes it easier
