It seems like a lot of the reviews vary on the rollers for sale on Amazon. To be clear this is an EPP material. It is dense with almost no forgiveness, which is perfect for what I wanted it for. If you're looking for something that is medium hard or even soft this is absolutely NOT the product that you want to waste money on.

I built out my home gym a couple of years ago after spending 25 years in commercial gyms. I have used every type of foam roller imaginable over the years. Rollers that were too soft or had big dimples on them never seemed to work as well as harder rollers. These Amazon Basics rollers looked like the solid type that did not give much when placing your full weight on them while rolling out on it. When they arrived, I knew they were going to be great. The foam had a high quality feel and was very rigid. For context, I am 6'1 210lbs. The roller has no problem keeping its shape and doing its job under my full weight. I have used my roller roughly 5 times a week for the last 2 years and it still looks and feels as good as the day I bought it.
