Dayton Audio PS95-8 3-1/2" Point Source Full Range Driver 8 Ohm

I 3D printed speaker pods designed by Hexibase and used these drivers and I now replaced the satellite speakers on my klipsch promedia 2.1 system with these. They sound absolutely incredible for upper mid to high ranges but by themselves lack any kind of low end extension. This is expected for the size and design of them though so it’s not an issue. Build quality seems great too and they fit perfectly in the pods and look great doing it too. Very good dispersion of high range frequencies especially with the phase plugs and can be a little harsh on axis but sound amazing if they’re pointed slightly off axis. Overall great speakers for the price and would recommend them for a lot of different use cases.

Perfect little speaker. Clean crisp. Holes didn't match up but easy enough to make it fit. Sounds awesome for what it is.

I have a 2023 Ford F150 with the 8 speaker B&O system and as everyone with the same set up knows, the center channel is really overwhelming and overpowers the tweeters causing the studio-like sound to sound a bit muddy. With this being an 8 Ohm speaker, it dials down the volume of that speaker while providing additional clarity and an overall better sound. Highly recommend this speaker for any F150 owners who want to clean up/crisp up their front sound stage.

Used these in my 2018 Ram 1500 as dash speakers with a 800hz crossover running from a Kicker Key200.4 amp on a shared channel with the OE 4ohm front door speakers. They do overpower the front and rear doors, sensitivity is much higher than the OE speakers. The front sound stage is IMMACULATE!. Huge improvement over the OE non alpine speakers. I may still add dedicated 1" dome tweeters to fill the 15khz+ range, but compared to the paper 2.25 speakers that they replaced, the difference is night and day. Now to replace the other 4 speakers so I can hear them over these lol.

Too quiet for a center speaker in F150 dash B&O system

Needed 8 ohm for the dash of my pickup. All the car audio shops offer 4 ohm 3.5's, not good when running parallel with the front door speakers. I put Kicker 3.5, 4 ohm in first, but way too loud due to the low impedence. These solved my problem and sound great.

Excellent upgrade for 2024+ Mustang center channel speaker. The OE B&O is terrible and this adds great clarity and stage to the otherwise decent (relatively) system.

Okay so I just got these only took about 2 to 3 days for delivery super fast they have absolutely amazing build quality 26 is an average price for these I would not use them as full range though they look incredible they sound decent free air kinda like a crappy tweeter and a really good midrange put together they dont have a lot of depth to them rn but like I said I have yet to put them in an inclosure yet so I cant hate on it no speaker is gonna sound amazing free air so I will update when I put them in something im mostlikly going to put them in a Bluetooth box with 2 tweeters 2 of these which I already have and one or 2 8s with 2 4s lipo batteries 1 amp maybe 2 and one car stereo or dayton audio mini stereo im hoping it sounds good but as of rn I will but them in a small sealed inclosure and give an update

ich habe den Dayton ueber eine Butterworth 12 Db geteilt. Er ueberzeugt mich hier nicht. Ich werde es noch noch einmal mit einer 18db-Weiche probieren. Er soll zusammen mit einem tangband W3 871 laufen.

El sonido es muy rápido, lo tengo en un cajón de 3.3 litros y se escucha increible aún con un amplificador clase D, nada de sibilancias, las frecuencias bajas para mi ya son bastante aceptables, pero si eres basshead, con un subwoofer te vendrá bien, los medios son muy dulces, un sonido con bastante cuerpo y con las caracteristicas de un buen escenario, probablemente le añadiria un tweeter para añadir un poco de brillo, pero así ya es una muy buena opción para diy
