McCormick Italian Seasoning, 6.25 oz

Fantastic product at a great price. Very flavorful, fresh, and the perfect balance of spices. It has a very long expiration date, so even though it's a large container of Italian seasoning, it stays fresh for a long time.

McCormick Italian Seasoning is basically the Beyoncé of my spice rack – dependable, fabulous, and makes everything better. I buy this stuff in bulk because it goes on everything – pasta, veggies, soups, chicken, even scrambled eggs when I’m feeling fancy. Great price, great value, and the flavor is just a perfect harmony of herbs. Not overpowering, just deliciously balanced. If you’re not using this in your cooking... are you even seasoning?

I grow many of the herbs I use in my basement garden, but dried herbs are a great alternative when you don't have fresh available, or, like me, just don't feel like harvesting the fresh ones. In addition, it's better to use dried herbs for long cooks such as recipes made in slow cookers or pressure cookers since they don't break down as quickly as fresh herbs. You just need to remember to use 1/3 the amount of fresh herbs called for in a recipe since dried herbs are much more potent. I have used the McCormick Italian Seasoning as well as other McCormick dried herbs, for quite a few years, and they never disappoints. The Italian seasoning works great for homemade tomato sauce, to add some extra flavor to jarred sauces, to sprinkled on pizza, and really for any recipe that requires an Italian blend of seasonings. This seasoning contains no MSG, and includes a blend of oregano, sage, rosemary, thyme, marjoram, savory, and basil. Although I quite often use this seasoning in my homemade tomato sauce, it is also wonderful for seasoning roasted chicken and even baked or air fried pork chops. I even use it in one of my homemade bread recipes. This blend of herbs and spices enhances the flavor of so many recipes. You just need to let your imagination go wild!! Great size and price. Smells and tastes amazing

I use a lot of herbs in my daily cooking. I am very happy with this product. Its fresh, flavorful and very aromatic. Its different from my other Italian Seasonings (a tad shy on basil -- hence the four stars.) Nevertheless, I use this in many poultry dishes, fish, stews, mashed potatoes, eggplant, zucchini and omelettes. Of note, its terrific in bread stuffing and on sauteed mushrooms with caramelized onions. I also use this for seasoning extra virgin olive oil to dip my homemade bread in -- along with granulated garlic, grated Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper. YUMMMM !!
