Good quality fatballs, reasonably priced
These fat balls are well-liked by the garden birds, there are never any wasted, they eat the lot. A nice size for my standard sized bird-feeders. Good that there are no nets to remove, as I always put these in a standard squirrel-proof bird feeder! They are quite soft, and never seem to go hard even if stored for several months. It often takes the birds up to 3 months to eat the lot, but I've not noticed any harmful effect from storing them (in a sealed plastic tub) during the meanwhile. This seller is more reasonably priced than most!

Great product, good value.
Great product, I was a little concerned before ordering as other reviews said they were too hard for the birds to eat. Well our wild birds love them. One day I had 7 lined up on the fence waiting for their turn to eat. They get through about 1 ball a day so this huge box will last me a good while. The only downside was the smell when I opened the box. I've only bought small packs before so didn't smell them. So this many at once produced quite a smell. So I'll just open it outside from now on. Nothing wrong with the product. I expect the smell is very aromatic if you're a bird!

Great Value
Excellent value for money. Always well packaged and delivered on time from Maltby's. Took a couple of days for the birds in my garden to get used to these fat balls as this is the first time i have ordered them. Now they are happily devouring them. I have 2 feeders for the fat balls and they get through both in 2 days. Very happy and will order again.

BIRDS DON'T SEEM TO LIKE THEM.
BIRDS HAVEN'T EVEN PECKED THEM.

Overall good value for large quantity of fat balls.
These are a good buy for the money and the birds seem to like them, but once the top layer of fat balls had been used there are a lot that are broken and in pieces further down which means they won't fit in the container. The pigeons like it though as I put them down for them to eat. Shame really, as it is a very economical way to buy.

The birds couldn't eat them - rock hard
Great reviews, but I don't think they'll be for the fat balls. Amazon let me down with my usual subscribe and save fat balls, so I had to find an alternative and I can't believe how bad these fat balls actually are. Perhaps, I've been unlucky (again) and the ones I received were not up to the usual standard, but they were absolutely appalling. The birds told me that and I found out today why that was the case. My usual fat balls get hammered by a wide selection of birds and they go first before anything else, but they didn't want to know about these. Today, I've had to empty my two typical fat ball feeders and a doughnut feeder (3 in total) with only around 20-25% maximum actually eaten (from 19-20 fat balls). I didn't like the uniformly light grey colour of them when I received them (what else was in it?) and on having to take them out of the feeders, I now find out that they're like concrete. They're solid and I do mean rock solid. I couldn't break them up to scatter for the ground feeding birds and had to resort to placing them on a concrete slab and putting my foot on them to break them. Just wow - solid. Now I know why the birds landed on the feeders then flew off a second later. They couldn't eat them. This is obviously a good seller with the amount of positive reviews, but your fat balls genuinely aren't fit for the purpose and have been a total waste of money for me, plus the inconvenience of having to buy more today. To the seller - please take on board my thoughts.
