Cool product
I love it! But... One of the two units was missing a 330 ohm chip resistor and so was only passing input voltage through. Luckily I have an assortment of resistors and was able to fix this one. They work great for my application only getting slightly warm to the touch when pushed hard. They are awesomely small for their capability and there were no noticeable harmonics. There was under a mV of ripple seen on my o-scope. And the output voltage is stable under load and even when the input voltage varies considerably. Great product! My project was to power 4, 30 watt class T amplifiers for use in my truck. I am running 2 amplifiers per boost circuit going from 12-14 volts from the vehicle to 19 volts and pulling 2-3 amps from the boosted side.

so far great.
Work pretty well for small electronic projects, where you need to increase voltage some. They work better if input voltage is at least 12 v. I used one for converting 12 v 24 volts for a actuator to raise box blade on garden tractor.

They only raise voltage, not lower it.
i like them and they work great but not what I expected. I hooked up +12v to the input terminals and the output will not go below the input voltage. They only raise voltage, not lower it.

READ FIRST
I will give 5 stars to this product because it works as intended, but read this warning before purchasing: DO NOT PLUG THIS BOOSTER TO YOUR PROJECT BEFORE ADJUSTING THE POTENTIOMETER. You can regulate how much volts are output using the golden screw from the blue potentiometer. If you connect the booster to your arduino or raspberry or any other device without adjusting and measuring the voltage first, you might up doing the same I did and fry 2 arduinos before realizing the booster was preconfigured to output 50 volts instead of 5v. With that said, the potentiometer allows you to regulate the voltage very precisely, which makes this device very flexible to be use with pretty much any project, and the heat released during the boosting process it pretty much none, so you won't have to worry about that either.

Used for AC ballast replacement
Product is as advertised. Used this to power a 32V (24W) Home Depot 4-ft LED tube light from a 12V battery instead of the 120VAC to 32V ballast. There is some surge current, so I had to increase the 12V fuse size from 5A to 15A. The surge also triggers the shutdown function on the solar charger, but it recovers fine after 2 seconds. Efficiency in my application seems to be 90-95% with no heating of the heat sinks.

Dangerous, May Explode!
I had this outputting 19v, powering a computer at 108 watts maximum, being powered by a 3 cell li-ion battery. I was stress testing, was only running for about 20-30 min, and a capacitor exploded, sending paper, electrolyte, and the metal can all in different directions. It was very loud, scared everyone, and I have no idea if my electronics were damaged by this yet. Would not recommend, I bought a 150w converter so this wouldn't happen, but this converter is clearly not rated for 150 watts. I took off the tesa tape that I put on the bottom, and there was molten solder. The capacitor got so hot that it desoldered itself.

Worked great in my DIY flashlight project
I used this to drive a 100 Watt LED chip in my DIY flashlight build. I adjusted the converter for 33.34Vdc output from a 25.2Vdc power bank input. As the power bank depletes down to 18Vdc the output remains stable at 33.34Vdc. This worked perfectly in my project.
