This is the absolute perfect pair for a Flipsky controller and the VESC Tools app. Once you install it, you'll wonder how you ever got along without it. There is a downside, which is that it takes up the entire header with the ADCs on it, so the best thing to do (IMO) is make your own custom header to break out the non-UART pins and tee off the 5v/GND for other applications. Just get a JST header/connector kit and it's a very quick solder job. Seriously, though, these should come onboard or bundled with every VESC - you'll wonder why you ever used USB. With BLE, you can have a live, very low-latency dashboard of the RT Data. I get the telemetry off my son's eBike from at least 50 yards (/meters) away with this unit linked to my phone.

Tried to load firmware from vesc on a generic bt chip. Tried 2 different boards with no luck. Bought this official one for a 75100 black box model and it was plug and play. Didn't want to fork out the money but it saved a ton of frustration so I could focus on other parts of the build.

Personally this could be my fault but unfortunately the way it’s worded and the way it’s described it makes it seem like this would work with my controller but I would not connect properly but then bought another one from their website and still had the same issue

Looks like its internally shorted between the vin and rx pins and will not turn on amd gets hot

Works perfect with my Flipsky 4.20 vesc and make programming the settings much easier. This allows wireless programming through the vesc app.
