I recently purchased a Tormek T4 used and it came with the Tormek hand tools set. My wife basically only agreed to buy the sharpener if I sold the set (since I really only needed a chisel sharpener anyway) and I agreed. Decided to take a shot on this cheapo replica set before selling the Tormek set to compare and send back if super poor quality in comparison. I am not sending it back. The only tool I attempted to use was the knife sharpener but it worked fantastic. The micro adjustment on the handle isn't all that different and the knob didn't come close to touching the stone when sharpening a medium sized knife at 20°. Side by side with the Tormek counterpart, the weight was basically thr same across the board except for the regular knife jig, Tormek was noticeably heavier. But I actually like the larger knob on the Wen jigs, makes them easy to grab.

This is a reasonably good set of accessories but not nearly as good as the orginal Tormek. I use it for a while but ended up buying the Tormek set for much higher price. The Tormek accessories are high precision and superior but very expensive.

I would read the instructions carefully for the best results. I did, and this jig set brought my wife's lathe gouges back to life wonderfully. Nice clean edges, and fits my wife's Wen sharpening grinder perfectly; giving a nice sharp edge.

The tools are a decent value for the price. Main issue however is the lack of any real fine adjustment screws. Unlike the original company that these copy - these lack the very fine adjustments on any of its set screws. The screws are just too coarse. I am not sure why WEN decided to go with coarse screws instead of fine threads - but that is the main issue that I have found. The black tool rest has no micro adjustments either. Just a single set knob and you have to slide the rest back and forth to try and get it set as needed. So adjustments can be somewhat hit or miss. Kind of frustrating if you are trying to get very fine angle adjustments and corrections as the main rest bar also lacks fine adjustments to the base, so you are often left trying to make the fine adjustments on the tool clamps.

Great alternative to the Tormek tools and jigs.

Producto muy bueno, antes afilaba mis cuchillos a mano, esta herramienta ha venido a mejorar la calidad de mis filos y hacer el trabajo más rápido y fácil. Ahora tengo mis herramientas y cuchillos filosos como navajas de afeitar. Toma cierta practica pero funciona excelente .

Nickel avec la meule Tormek. Par contre la pierre pour changer le grain de meule présente sur la photo ne fait plus partie du kit. Pas grave si vous possédez une Tormek car elle est fournie avec.
