Cold Water Therapy Shoulder Pad for Cryotherapy Unit - Pad Only for Circulating Ice Machine for Surgery, Rotator Cuff [Color: Black]

Used for 2 months and never had any issues with leaking or functionality. Worked well for recovery after my knee surgery and is now being used by my Aunt as well.

This review is for the "Cold Water Therapy Wrist and Hand Wrap for Cryotherapy Unit". The biggest thing you should know is that although the connector looks slightly different, it connects perfectly and leak-free to the Donjoy Iceman Clear 3. No adapter needed.

Not high quality. Scratchy and not very flexible to conform to your face. Leaks.

This worked perfectly after a robotic knee replacement surgery. The leg is very bruised and sore at the shin and ankle area so this pad was long enough to put over the entire lower leg and knee area to ice all at once.

If you suffer from chronic pain, or are recovering from surgery or an injury, Ice Water Therapy is the way to go for non narcotic pain relief. The problem is that most machines come with a “universal” pad & these “universal” pads are big bulky and not designed for use on the neck. This cervical pad is what you need for that stubborn pain in the neck. I have an old EB Ice Water Therapy machine (which is no longer made) and no one could tell me if the couplings were compatible, even the manufacturer of this cervical pad. I bought it without knowing if it would work with my machine. I’m happy to report that it is indeed 100% compatible with the EB Ice Water machine. This product has 3 parts, the pad the ice water flows through, a thick foam rubber piece to give it stability and a zippered pouch designed to hold it all together. The pad that the water flows through seems to be a bit on the thin side compared to other pads which leads me to wonder about its durability. I’ve been using this pad for about a month and so far there have been no durability issues at all. The thick foam pad is so thick that it makes it difficult to get it to fit comfortably on my neck. A quick trip to a hobby shop for a thinner piece of foam and it made all the difference in the world. The zipper pouch is perfect for allowing the cold to get to your neck while keeping the actual water pad from touching the skin. I recommend this and would buy again.

This was an excellent replacement for the Breg Polar Care Cube, perfect fit, no leaks. Very satisfied with this purchase.

See follow-up below. I seriously injured my hamstring and needed to apply cold therapy several times a day. I have had this wrap and have used it with my aqua relief system. I works great, I get pain relief while using this system with the large wrap. I also did a heat treatment for a day and it worked great. The only negative I have experienced is on day 6 and probably my last cold treatment for the day shortly after I started the cold treatment one of the fitting ends blew off pumping ice cold all over my groin area, couch, flour, table and in my rush to shut off the machine it got my wife in a chair about 8 feet away. This sudden required movement to stop the flow did not do my leg any good. There are not any clamps or tightening ferrule fittings. It is a nipple with ridges and only hold power is by the bite of the edges of the ridge rings. I pushed it back together and have cautiously used it 3 times. If it blows apart again I will have to apply some form of clamp to the tubing. I do hope this issue does not persist. Follow up use after pushing back together, it now leaks where the tubing attaches to the fitting and I have to use a towel wrapped around the fitting!!
