Excellent
A great little microphone that is solidly built and sounds excellent. Am absolute bargain that hold its own against far more expensive mics.

Great mic for live performance use.
Great Mic! very surprised at the build quality and feel of this. I was expecting something really budget quality for the price, but no, it feels surprisingly high quality and came in a usable and rugged case. The directional sound quality is excellent, easily like a Shure SM58 but without the cost. Great for toms, backing vocals and guitars or to keep as a spare for a lead vocalist. It has very useful dynamic range in a live performance situation. There's probably better options for recording (depending on what you are recording), but for live situations its perfect and easy to use. Can't go wrong at the price.

Fantastic sounding budget mic.
This is a very decent clone of the Shure SM58 mic backed with an excellent build quality, for the money, you will be hard pressed to find anything half as decent sounding. It makes a pretty decent all rounder, capturing detailed and nicely defined nuences on almost anything you care to record.

Totally unsuitable for handheld use.
The BA 85A, £12. Literally the cheapest mic that I have ever bought but it manages to be utterly worthless. It's not really suitable for anything. I didn't even need the mic to be good quality, I just wanted something to trigger notes on a voice-to-MIDI plugin but the handling noise, even just touching the cable, is overwhelmingly loud making it useless. Plosives are absolutely terrible so a really good pop shield is essential, but you'd need quite a heavy stand or a solid floor to prevent any physical vibration from causing rumble. With the right stand and pop shield this would be ok as a static mic. High end detail is lacking but that's standard for a dynamic mic. It's actually quite bass-heavy. Off-axis rejection is good though, it seems to be very directional so this could be good for commentary or podcasting in a noisy environment.

I’m going to be real here and admit that this wasn’t my first choice in mics, but I had to know how it would stack up against the SM58s I’m used to. In terms of feel, sound quality, features, and includes equipment, at worst, it’s a dead heat. Compared to its vastly more expensive counterpart, ambient noise rejection is identical, pickup pattern also identical, the Behringer has a very slightly darker natural tone (nothing that can’t be compensated for with a little EQ-tweaking), the weight and feel are practically identical, and really, the only area where it notably falls behind is that it has fairly little shock resistance, but a) this can be combatted with a decent stand and/or shockmount and b) it is absolutely unbeatable for the price. I’ve had a long run of good luck with Behringer, but even so, I was skeptical of this mic starting out; the run continues.

Microphone de qualité à un prix dérisoire. J'en garde quéqu'es exemplaires dans le lot de micros que je loue et, franchement, ça se compare au shure sm58 .je recommande
