Awesome product
This messager is GREAT. I was worried because the battery is not removable, and I figured if the battery were to ever die, the tool would become useless. I've owned this now for 3 years and it's still running like a champ. What's nice about this massage gun is that it has different intensity settings, and it comes with multiple tips. You are also able to buy more attatchments if you'd like a different massaging experience. I would recommend this product if you work out. The multiple grip positions allows you to give yourself a massage with ease.

Worth the cost
I've practiced sports medicine for over two decades so when my own back began to act up, I got a chance to try a hand held focused massager myself. My wife bought a cheaper one for $49 and despite the good price, it wasn't very effective. Cheaper units vibrate a lot but don't have the deeper pistoning necessary for percussion of the muscles. I found I had to push down, which would stop the weaker unit. I took the plunge on this one and immediately found the quality of the unit and the quality of the massage so much better. The Thera-Gun is strong enough, there's no need to push down with any force at all. In fact just sliding it over a muscle is spasm provides great, vigorous massage from the weight of the unit alone. A bit of downward pressure barely slows the motor. The deeper (17mm?) pistoning of the head really impacts the muscles. I think anyone with the need for a gun type massager should consider the Thera-Gun. It works much better and will likely last longer than the cheaper units. From my view, unless you plan on not being around very long, you'll likely get a lifetime of use out of it. My clinics have used them on patients. Now I've had a chance to use one as well. It's been a life saver when my back says no, and my schedule says yes.

Works Great. Battery Life Questionable...
I exchanged the first one I ordered because the battery would only last about 15 minutes, tops. The replacement I received lasts closer to what is advertised, and is still going strong almost a year later. I haven't used the more expensive models, but the Prime seems to do everything I need it to do and I'm not certain why I'd ever really need (or use) any of the features of the more expensive models. So, if you're wondering if the more expensive deluxe models are worth it, then I'd say probably not. This model is perfectly capable of pummeling the knots in muscles to oblivion. I have also since purchased the Theragun Mini to keep on my coffee table while this one remains in my home gym. The only real advantage the Prime has over the Mini is the increased grip options which make it easier to reach and apply pressure to some spots. I have them both paired to my phone, but the only thing I use that for is to occasionally check the battery level. I think if there's an issue with the battery life, it will probably show itself right away and you should consider exchanging it.

Lower Back Cured!
Wow, what a fabulous self care tool! I have been dealing with pain and tightness on one side in my lower back the past several months and after using the Theragun Prime as directed via the app for that specific area for just 5 days (followed by some direct heat after each use) the pain and tightness is gone! I have spent a lot of money over the years on much less expensive massage products but this is The Best by far- the cost is high but you get what you pay for! The only thing that brought my lower back to calmness prior was an hour deep tissue massage so I figure the Theragun is less expensive than the weekly even monthly massage I would need to feel the same way: total relief!!!

Works And Worth Every Penny
Thought the price was a little high, but was swayed by the reviews and an article I read in Esquire about it, so took a chance and so glad I did. I've had chronic lower back pain - and repeated injuries - over the years. Nothing much seemed to help - MRIs, spinal docs, PT, chiropractors, meds, rest, heat, ice, etc. After my most recent injury, I wondered if maybe I just had horribly knotted/swollen muscles that needed to calm down. So I started hammering my lower back area with this thing and over the days all the muscles finally started to smooth out and relax and my pain went away. It's like you're hammering the muscles into submission. It's been amazing. Almost addictive. I would say just be careful with it and start off slowly - don't put on the hardest attachment and press it against you as hard as you can, etc. Start with the slowest setting and softest head and be very gentle with yourself until you get a feel for it.

Plenty of power, perhaps too much.
The Theragun Prime is great in that it seems to be of very high quality. It certainly packs a punch, which is great for the larger muscles, but I found it too much for my neck. It has adjustable intensity levels, but even the lowest one was a bit bone rattling. This is great for post-workout recovery for the large muscle groups, but a bit less effective for general massaging.

It is worth the money!
I struggled with back pain for YEARS - did lots of physical therapy, meds, massage, etc. This product is AMAZING in that it takes away the pain so quickly and you can carry on with your day. It was especially helpful for me before bed, to relieve pain and relax muscles for sleep. The handle is awesome, allowing for multiple angles. It is an awesome, awesome product and I really credit it with finally getting rid of my back pain (crazy but true!) - simply because reducing the pain interrupts the pattern of pain signals to your brain (especially without chemicals you can become dependent on). Love love love this thing, and so glad I paid for the real deal.
