Even better than its predecessor
Had the old UR242 which didn't have as many 'line outs. This new model has a larger light up volume knob for my Yamaha HS8 monitors. Then the RCA outs are connected to my SMSL SP200 headphone amp. The new software is a nice update as well.

Great Interface
Excellent! I purchased this unit to upgrade my studio interface. Steinberg once again didn't fail to amaze me.

Prepare for Hours of Installing and Troubleshooting - Software and Support Will Let you down
The software does not yet work with MacOS Big Sur. It's 12/31/2020 and Big Sur has been out for almost 2 months. Steinberg recommends downgrading your operating system! In os 11, it causes several issues affecting other applications as well. Steinberg support seems to be keeping this on the down-low as it was rather hard to find this out on their site. I found it out through some forums from people who were able to get ahold of tech support. That is another issue entirely - Steinberg tech support is notoriously slow to respond if at all. They have also stopped working entirely for a couple weeks during Christmas/new year. They say flat out on their site they are not going to respond via phone, email, live chat - nothing. Total silence. Seems like this would be their peak time since many people will be firing up hardware and software for the first time after receiving them as holiday gifts. Be prepared to spend an hour going through the ridiculously complex process of installing drivers. Then prepare to spend another few hours installing all the software to get Cubase AI to work. You have to use a code to download thier access/elicenser/program software, use another activation code through the elicenser, do some updates, learn about the many software programs it wants/needs to install, get codes, download, then install through their installation manager software. So many points of failure and trips online to trouble-shoot or read posts from Steinberg support. I have been doing this kind of thing for years and have never been through such a complex, trouble-ridden installation process for hardware or software. I am still waiting for Steinberg to start their support back up. If they can't tell me when their software will be compatible with MacOS 11 Big Sur, and help me with some install issues, I will definitely be returning this. Disappointing, Steinberg. I had expected much better for the price.

Steinberg UR44C big problems
Steinberg UR44C Some problem with the driver Cubase 10.5 works a couple of hours then the problems begin, you need to turn off the card from the voltage and turn it back on again. the interface UR44C start working, DSP don’t work in Cubase 10.5 but works in interface, I reinstalled Windows 10 and Cubase 10.5 and all programs: the same problem remained. Result: sold Steinberg UR44C and bought motu m2-works without problems. I have had Cubase for 15 years and I had all the interfaces from Steinberg. There were no problems. In general, the time has come when it is necessary to punish poor products and poor technical support. Spent many hours connecting with technical support, they just publish over customers or idiots who don’t know anything

Bad! Bad! Bad! Support, vendor, inaccurate specs, turnaround from support... just Bad!
When reading product specs, if the manufacturer states that the technology works with an operating system that is no longer supported by Microsoft... like Win 7 Pro for example... Do not buy the product! Spending 45 days trying to get three versions of drivers from support is infuriating and expensive when the vendor has a 30 day return policy. If your $250 Steinberg interface doesn't work it's a $250 POS paper weight you can't return. Too bad, I'd owned a older Steinberg product that was excellent, but they and this Amazon marketplace vendor aren't getting any more of my business.

I must say that the Steinberg audio interface is fantastic! Its performance is excellent. However, the only issue is with its drivers. One may need to do some detective work to locate and install them. But overall, it's a brilliant piece of audio equipment that I love.

Great product, very well built and easy to use with Logic Pro. Software was also very easy to install. Having the extra speaker outputs at the the back and the dual headphones jacks are very beneficial. Only complaint I have is it is promoted as USB-C however to my surprise the cable provided in the box is USB-C to USB-A. As newer Mac devices only have USB-C ports, had to purchase additional adapter… overall very pleased with this product and recommend it.
