Corkys Women's Sidewalk Slip on Flat

Great walking shoes, as I commute via walking and subway to work.UPDATE 9/9/16: Less than 3 months since purchase, soles of shoes already falling apart, hole in sole of left shoe. Will not be purchasing again.

I bought these Corkys sidwalk slip-on and Bernie Mev catwalk in navy to compare the two shoes. I had had catwalks before and liked them but thought I would try something different. I am 8W and tried a 9 since some reviewers thought they ran small. I liked the shoe with a sturdier sole and more structure to the webbing, but the 9 was just a little too big. I ended up keeping the catwalk and returned the Corkys.

This is my 6th pair of Corkys' Woven Elastic Sidewalk fFats. I have absolutely loved wearing them. This pair has a change in construction that I do not like. Instead of the elastic weave being woven through the black back of the shoe, the new style has just the solid black back. It is not as foot-friendly and has caused me blisters. Will keep the show in hopes it will become more comfortable with use, but please change back to the old construction in the future. I literally live in these shoes; shoes similar to them do not fir the bill. This is the only shoe I wear in warm weather.

I wore these shoes for the 1st time today and there is a "stiff" spot on the big toe that has worn a blister on my toe. Also, on the same shoe and same toe, there is a stripe of the woven fabric that is loose and sticking out because it was not properly sealed in the sole of the shoe. The colors are very pretty but the quality is lower than expected. Corky's wouldn't be my first choice for future purchases.

So I give this 3 stars because I love the design and the memory foam for the insole but the size is way off. I originally bought these to replace a similar style in Skechers that was a size 9 and barely fits me now due to arthritis problems. But Skechers no longer makes them so I tried Corky’s size 10. Unfortunately, Corky’s Size 10 = Skechers Size 9. And so I returned them. But I did order a slightly different style (Corky’s) with laces at size 11. It is a half size larger than I would prefer but I decided to keep those instead. Why won’t shoe manufacturers make more styles in half sizes above Size 10???!!!!

I have a bunion on my right foot so leather shoes can be very painful. I'm retired so my go-to is sandals ... flip flop style but not the cheap drug store type. Leather or more substantially made. But it's not appropriate wear all the time. And pretty cold in winter. So I was very happy to find these fabric bendable shoes. I have several pairs in different styles. If you have bunions or arthritis in your feet give them a try ...

First of all the shoes are made of elastic! Elastic! They give on the sides perfectly, conforming exactly to your feet on the top and sides while also giving good support and grip as I walk. Normally new shoes rub a bit or have some discomfort, but these were perfect right out of the box. If I had any complaint it would be that the stiff bit at the back can sometimes stick to your feet if they are wet (getting caught in the rain in these shoes was fun) and you can't just step out of them in that case, but it isn't enough of a problem to dock a star from these amazing shoes. I have been recommending them to all my friends and already plan on buying another pair. Perhaps the loafers this time.

I give this pair of shoes 2 thumbs up! Comfortable, stylish and light weight. This company (Corky's) is on an even keel as other more expensive shoes of the same type. Actually in this case, better, and half the price! This color of blue is exactly the color I was looking for. They has light/dark denim highlights that are perfect to go with any blue jeans. Very happy with them and have had lots of interest in where I purchased them. I'll do business with them again. (Not paid for this review.)

Comfy but does come up very small.

I really love this shoes. BUT. They run at least a size larger than usual. I ordered size 9, but they are easily a size 10, maybe 10.5. Unfortunately, even with inserts, they are still too large for me to wear. It's a shame because they are really cute and seem comfortable. Size 8 is not available so I will never get to wear this particular shoe. I will probably give mine to my friend's daughter who is size 10. I would still recommend these, but order one to 1.5 sizes smaller than true size. If I ever see them in a smaller size for a decent price, I would definitely buy more.

These shoes are extremely comfortable and look gorgeous.I have them in two colours and hope to get more.
