It is too heavy. Finishing is good. Good for health to cook in this cast iron pan. It is wide and heavy. Can cook till 3 kg. More than 3 years I am using this pan. It is highly recommend to buy

By looking at the Indus valley name and presentation of products, thought it's standard and good brand. But they dissapoint customers !! Weight is above 3kg as mentioned. Pre-seasoning done as mentioned. But the biggest lie here is super smooth, it had rough, uneven surface and holes. In corners it's bit brownish rust and worst finishing. Only brand name looks good on handle other parts very uneven !! This is defective, sides are chipped off !! No quality is tested feels like cheating customers by good presentation and marketing. Back of the skillet is uneven. Check the video. Indus valley must take this feedback seriously and please don't make false advertising like super smooth etc !!

Good quality but it is heavy to handle and to maintain

Good but small handle

What an awesome product heavy gauge as promised and excellent finish and I tried making a few gravies turns out superb just make sure to season once before use just fill it up with starch water then bring to boil then let it cool and wash with a mild detergent then after drying heat the skillet in low flame apply a coat of oil and then toss and stir cut onions they will absorb the excessive carbon . Repeat the frying of onions twice or thrice more and then it is ready to use . Am very happy with the purchase and the price is too reasonable compared to many other sites

I can’t believe this.. it has to be a QA defect... Looks like somebody pulled something that was being manufactured upon and the sent it as finished product. It’s neither super smooth nor pre seasoned. It even has holes in it.. please refer to videos and pictures Of the hundreds of products (easily lakhs worth of goods) that I ordered over Amazon this one we could not open in time since we were in another house due to lockdown. Amazon mentioned that return window has closed and cannot help. Indus Valley mentioned the same and washed their hands off any ownership for the quality or workmanship (which is clearly lacking)... Based on the innumerable good review I still think they manufacture decent products and this is a QA/ QC error.. but zero ownership.. This is not a perishable or broken product.. this is just a bad one. A disappointed customer in any case. This is totally worthless to me.

No doubt product is good but its too heavy for regular use.
