Impressive little laptop and exceptional build quality from HP
Had this little powerhouse of a laptop for a few months now and it’s an impressive for the size and weight. Hasn’t missed a beatPositives:Fantastic battery lifeVery lightweight and portableLovely display that is bright even outside in sunFinger print reader is not a gimmick, it’s quick and so convenientTouch screen is responsive though these are lost on me as it becomes a finger print magnet.NegativesWhile the screen is lovely the build in privacy filter even when off does mean you need to view the screen head in to get the best picture. It comes with a proprietary power adapter cable rather than a usb-c chargerFor such a high spec laptop & price 16gb memory these days is very low, especially considering these modern units can’t be upgraded later. You’re stuck with the memory it came with so always go for maximum. Minimum for this price range should be 32gb or the option to upgrade later.HP build quality is exceptional on this little unit, first time owning a HP and the unit feels premium quality.Routine day to day tasks web browsing and email it’s silent and even using more power hungry apps such as photoshop or Lightroom the fans do kick in. Also 16GB does get used very quickly with these power hungry apps but just takes a few minutes longer to process. I Particularly like the attention to detail where the exhaust for the fans is blown over the monitor so you don’t cook your legs or arms. All in all I recommend this laptop, with a small footnote to say think carefully about the memory as if I’d have realised I would have gone for one that had 32/64gb or user replaceable.

Worst laptop ever
Worst laptop everToday did not even allow me to sign in, for 2h did not want to run ate all. Sometimes a simple Word seems to be too much effort for this laptop, some other days an Excel gets it to freeze for hours, today i was not allowed to even start doing anything. Getting connected to Internet seems to be an impossible thing for this laptop, dont even get me started with more complicated softwares, matlab is uselees on this laptop, python is impossible to run, i cannot run any of my codes here, dont even think about getting cool graphs... this laptop will collapse!such a waste of everything, time, money, energy... pure frustration every single dayIf i could, this would be a 0 star (the lowest allowed is 1 start, this is much less than that)Dont waste your money, get something elseI regret getting this useless laptop, dont make my same mistake

Really well made and super fast
I purchased the i7 with 16 GB of RAM. I have access to a few top end laptops and this is quicker than the pro laptop I use for work. It is blisteringly quick and extremely well-made, on a par with a MacBook Pro. It is completely silent to use and the battery lasts almost all day, with a really crisp screen. There is only one small criticism I can make. As an earlier reviewer mentioned, in certain light conditions the fact that the keyboard is the same colour as the chassis, can make the keys difficult to see. If you want a really nice laptop, but don’t fancy an Apple product and would prefer a PC, try this one.

Different graphics card than advertised
The laptop is alright but I was disappointed to find out that the graphics card is different than the one advertised. If I would have known I would probably not have bought it, shame.

Solid Workhorse Laptop
The HP-Envy has evolved over multiple variants (of which I have owned 3) in the last few years. This laptop is a solid, high performance machine that gets the job done. It doesn't have lots of superfluous extras or add ons. It just does an excellent job as a machine you can use all day. It's performance over a range of graphic or arithmetical tasks is excellent and it has a good battery life.

Starting to fall apart after less than 2 and a half years
Used daily for two and a half years and it's literally falling apart in my hands. The bottom has fallen loose, which means the hinge has sunk, which has now led to a crack in the screen from it catching on the keyboard. Compared to older laptops I've owned at a similar price point, which lasted around 5 years, I was hoping for slightly more out of this one.

A very transportable powerful laptop
A very powerful laptop, I got a mouse and I found that good but the touch screen and tracking pad do a good job too.

False advertisement (GRAPHICS DRIVER)
It clearly states that the laptop has a GTX 1650 graphics driver but instead there is a 2GB GeForce MX350 installed. This has genuinely irritated me because I had saved up a lot of my money for a very long time to purchase a laptop that could run advanced programs at a good speed. I'm very disappointed in what I got and wish that I had the time to send the laptop back in order to get a refund so I could purchase a product that actually includes the specifications that they list.Despite the fact that the product I ordered doesn't include the graphics driver it said it has, it still runs pretty decently and nicely. It's also very small and thin so this is a great portable device.
