Have two of these holding my tool box closed with rivets and they’re holding up great Didn’t want bulky latches that’ll catch on to things And these are small slim and perfect

The latch is the correct size for my need, but there were no screws supplied. That caused me to lower the rating to 3 stars. If they had been included, it would have been MUCH more convenient to get these installed, and I'd have given 5 stars. Also, it would have been nice if a quantity of less than 10 were available for purchase (perhaps 2 or 4 latches).

They are very small, but perfect for a small metal box. The spring version is more secure. Hole placement is critical to function, so double check measurements before drilling. I used #4-36 machine screws to secure them. The latches are designed for a maximum #5 machine screw.

My plastic ratchet wrench case broke one of the clips, it just dry rotted I guess and pulled right off. These buckles are not the strongest in the world, and the clamping seems slightly loose BUT they are spring loaded, and I doubt they will unlatch on their own for someone like me that just uses it around the house. If you need to open these day in day out maybe you should try something stronger, but for me anything else was too big. No screws are included, but I wanted to rivet them on anyway so it was no problem for me.

See pic. These dimensions gave a nice snap to the toggle. (Spring Loaded version of latch, not sure about the non spring loaded) These latches work pretty well for a small light duty application.

These do not come with the screws to attach them.

Once I figured out how to align the two sections, installing them was a breeze. They grip tight and work very well. They also add a nice heavy duty look to a small tool box.

this product should have come with screws. They use a rather small screw that is not readily available at the hardware store. It does not say screws are included. That was my mistake. Some of the latches I was looking at had screws and my brain let me believe these did too. Just remember you will need special small screws.
