No regrets buying this
Got it as a Christmas present for my son. But gotta say, I had it in my cart for a long time, because I was reading the reviews and some people were unhappy and pissed at missing this or that, not working properly, working for only a week, so I was nervous to get it. I searched online videos with happy buyers and stumbled over a couple of happy buyers who are in fact producing music and one of them bought it for his son who wanted to learn more about music production. He excitingly explained how this thing works. So I finally made my decision to buy it but I was still nervous until my son opened his present and tried it.. He loves his new toy and says it’s a great piece of equipment especially for the price. He’s enjoying using it everyday since, and having lots of fun creating new music with it. I can’t say much more bc I am not too knowledgeable about music equipment as he is. All I can say it works great, it does what it’s created to do and everyone is happy. 😃

Perfect companion for someone who needs something reliable
The build of this board is amazing, Because of the new placement for the mod wheel, it takes up less space. The keybed feels nice not like the 88key version of the MK3 while it's not professional grade, it does provide a nice piano like feel when you play it. It is easy to use and easy to navigate. As a Midi controller, it comes with a great about of software to get you started. I have no regrets with the Launchkey.

Nice midi controller keyboard, especially if you use Ableton Live
I purchased this midi keyboard to use with my home audio workstation. It is designed to work with Ableton Live, but it also works well with various other DAWs, although some configuration might be necessary. The sliders and knobs on the keyboard allow control of parameters within the DAW. The keyboard and pads are touch sensitive and send midi signal inputs to your DAW. The keyboard can also be used without a DAW if you have another midi device that has capability of playing music. The Launchkey does not have the capability of outputting sounds on its own. Thus, if you want to play music on a single device, this is not the right type of keyboard.

Pleasently surprised
I'm pleasantly surprised with the key action. The design is really nice and compact and a lot of functionality but feedback/reviews about the key action over the net was mixed. Considering it's a light action keyboard, the feel and quality seems much better than MK2 to me. It's relatively on the silent side too compared to many alternatives on the market. Ofcourse it's not a Fatar keybed but I like it!

Gets Me Off The MKB
This device keeps me off the mouse and keyboard more than any device I've used. Feels good to just use the instrument in Live rather than clicking around. Faders and pots have no physical stops except 0/100%, and feel very high quality. Keys are a bit light and may feel too "keyboard" ish for the true piano player. Scale, chord, and arp features are lots of fun and handy for sketching melodic ideas.

Amazingly Stunning
Whe I first got it delivered to me I was astonished by its size and beautiful it looked! I’m currently studying to receive my bachelors in music production and I can say I love the freedom and how it offers various functions and control it offers when utilizing it. I used both Logic Pro and abelton live and works incredibly well in these DAW’s.

Great lightweight synth action controller
I use this for live shows. Bought mainly for the faders and controller options. As I use multiple board, I need flexibility in a light transportable option. Also h have weighted and semi weighted keyboards already. Because I use various vintage synth VSTs, to keep an authentic playing action , I wanted a synth keybed. I have vintage keys in the studio and frankly this has the most realistic feeling sybth action. For the price, this was a perfect addition.

It is programmable and easy to use. Keys are sensible to strenght of the tap on a key.

The Novation Launchkey 61 Mk3 controller is a controller I wish I had gotten years ago, had it been available. While it is not the cheapest overall controller, it is designed well, lightweight, and has just about every function you need in a mid-sized, low-mid price range. (It's a bit more expensive in Australian shops than Amazon, for some reason still unclear. Although it is clearly and most obviously designed for Ableton Live, the main reason why I personally got it was because of the availability of support for it when working with my primary DAW, Logic Pro X. (I use Ableton too but I got it for Logic.) A year ago I made a mistake getting something else which I thought had good support but unfortunately it did not, and so support and integration was my primary driver in looking for an alternative. As for integration, meaning DAW control as well as for general midi control, the Launchkey does not disappoint for the most part. For most mainstream DAWs on market you it is just about plug-and-play. For Logic there is a script you need to install, but the process is simple and instructions are simple and easy to follow. There are plenty of videos both on their own site and YouTube, if like me you hate reading manuals, but if you do get stuck then there is the manual. Speaking of which, the manual is well-written and easy to understand. Where the controller truly shines is its functionality. It's got everything you need to control your DAW and offers a pretty much complete package to for your midi control requirements, including external devices such as synths and whatnot. There are scripts accessible via the Components app (or Novation website) that you can use to configure the Launchkey for use with specific hardware and software. If you wanted to create your own configuration you can do that too. I do have two complaints, both of which however aren't major drawbacks. The first is the more serious of the two, and that is that unfortunately the build is very cheap and plasticky. I take care of my gear but I am certain this unit will get damaged at some point or something will break, especially when I move house in the next year. The keys in particular feel very lightweight. For a 61-key product at this price-range I also would have expected the keybed to be semi-weighted at least, since similar products are, but unfortunately that is not the case here. The pots and sliders also have a cheap feel to them. The buttons however are not bad for this price. Secondly, there is no instruction or guidance on how to use Logic's Live Loops, and as far as I can tell. There are at least a couple of videos on this from third parties on YouTube, but nothing specifically on Live Loops from Novation themselves. This is interesting because I have the Novation Launchpad Pro Mk3 as well, and it also is a bit tricky to use with Logic, even though it is supposed to be fully compatible with late versions of Logic (10.5 onwards). However, luckily there is an excellent video from the even more excellent MusicTechHelpGuy on YouTube that you can reference if you really wanted to. (I highly recommended his channel anyway, most especially if you are a Logic user.) All in all, I highly recommend this product at this price. [Note: I did have one major issue, however this was specifically the delivery part of the experience. The Novation Launchkey 61 Mk3 looks and works fine, but it came in a brown box that was damaged in several spots. The brown box looked like it had been opened and re-sealed. Inside, the controller was in its own Novation-branded box, and although not damaged, it was not sealed. So I could not tell if it was truly brand new. Worst of all, the delivery person rudely left the package OUTSIDE my building. They did not call or text to say this was being done. The Amazon website did not inform me the product was on its way either (no updates on the tracking page), so I wasn't home. It was only when I returned that I noticed it leaning against the wall outside. In fact I didn't even realise it was for me until I read the label. I am very lucky that nobody stole it.]
