This case was exactly what I needed. My dog had partially chewed on the controller, and the battery door was slightly damaged and came off easily. This “cocoon” of a case completely resolved that issue. It also made the controller easier to locate in dark rooms and gave it a more premium feel. The glow in dark isn't all that great. I don't have black light or bright regular light. It does provide extra grip for remote. It helps keep it working and looking new. I got one of these for roku and about fell out when I saw Nvidia had one. It's worth the money. I did test the glowing but you need black light or bright light to really make it glow. That is limitations to all glow in dark products that are not radioactive!

Bought the black color of this exact same sleeve to begin with. Boy was that a mistake. If the remote landed button-side down on any dark surface, it became practically invisible. Since I liked the sleeve (but not the color), I went with something more eye catching for my needs and settled on the 'glowblue' version. Now I kinda thought the glow in the dark feature might be a gimmick, but after a few month of having it, I truly find it really handy! The blue glow from the sleeve is not super bright, but the glow lasts for hours. The glow is bright enough to help you find the remote in low/no light situations, like during a movie. Sleeve fits the remote good, but mine could stand to be a bit more... snug. It sits in place fine, but when holding the remote, you can sometimes feel the sleeve shifting under your grip. So far, this glow in the dark sleeve is holding up well to over 6 months of daily use. I'm happy with my purchase.

If you should need an OEM replacement remote for your NVIDIA Shield, this is what you need. Decent price for a replacement remote as it is good OEM quality. They are durable to a point, my dogs and kids like to test that and I've had to replace, no fault of NVIDIA. I like and prefer the triangle shape of the NVIDIA remote. Some say the battery door is difficult to remove. I don;t have that issue but I do find the batteries themselves difficult to remove. I also recommend the silicone covers for these.
