I recently picked up the ZEBRONICS Zeb-Crystal Clear Web Camera, and I have to say, it's been a solid choice for my video calls and streaming needs. First off, the 3P lens delivers surprisingly good picture quality. I was impressed with how clear and vibrant the colors came through, especially during my work meetings. The built-in microphone does a decent job too. It picks up my voice clearly without too much background noise, which is great for when I'm chatting with colleagues or friends. One feature I particularly appreciate is the auto white balance; it really helps in adjusting the lighting conditions, so I can look my best even in less-than-ideal lighting. Night vision is another handy feature. I had a late-night call, and the camera performed surprisingly well in low light—definitely a plus in my book! Camera quality is very poor, video appears pixelated and unclear, not usable for online meetings. This is the most useless webcam I have ever seen. The listing claims “Crystal Clear” but the reality is pathetic video full of pixels, blur, and noise. Even on good lighting, the video looks like a 15-year-old VGA camera. In low light, it becomes completely unusable. Frame rate is laggy, colors are washed out, and image clarity is a joke. This is not even close to 720p/1080p – it feels like 240p stretched video. The built-in microphone is equally bad with muffled sound. I tested on multiple PCs, apps, and internet connections — no improvement. The problem is the cheap, poor-quality hardware itself. Attaching proof screenshots and video so people can see how terrible this product really is. Do not waste your money. This is a fraud product with misleading specifications.

I’m using the Frontech FT-2255, which claims to be HD, but this one actually performs better in comparison. The webcam is compact in size, and I bought it mainly for making video calls as you know we need camera to make calls in PC WhatsApp. It’ll just stay behind my monitor. The video and audio quality are both average, but acceptable for basic use. You’ll need to manually adjust the lens for the best clarity. Just rotate it gently clockwise or counterclockwise while watching the result on your monitor, and stop when the picture looks clear. The best part is that *no software installation is required*—just plug it into your USB port and it's ready to go. Think of it like a typical laptop webcam: not super sharp, but good enough for school, college, or work-related online meetings. If you’re expecting higher quality video, especially for streaming or content creation, consider spending more—around ₹2000 to ₹3000 or more —for a proper Full HD webcam.

The camera quality isn't that good, overall it's easy to use and install in laptop. It's not that wide angled and you have to zoom it in or out to focus on your face, otherwise it gets blurry, and it's more likely a zoom in kind of camera. I think there are better webcams out there. This one didn't stand out much for me.

I haven't used separate webcams for computers, for years. Most laptops come with integrated webcams, so there was never a need. I needed a webcam for an old computer. This was just needed for online classes, so nothing special was required. So I bought this cheapest one, Zeb Crystal Clear. But I am not sure what is claimed to be crystal clear in this one. This product arrived in a simple box and was manufactured last month (July 2021). It was just plug and play, but the mic was almost muted. Even when I brought the webcam closer to the mouth, still the other person could just hear a crackling voice, which was muffled. The built-in microphone thing is a joke. I knew that the quality was bad, and was just hoping that it was just a defective piece and ordered a replacement because a refund option was not available. Replacement was the same. I returned that as well. I had even tried going to Zebronics website to see if there are any drivers that can help, but camera drivers listed were updated in year 2010 and some in 2012. I am not sure how this product has got a rating of 3+. Perhaps, because of other products in the option list, which are more expensive and perhaps slightly better. This Zeb crystal clear one does not deserve any star, even if the price is Rs 800. Picture quality is okay for online classes, but that was not much of a concern. Night vision too is hopeless. If you have to use a separate mic for a webcam, then there is no point in buying these below Rs. 2000 usb webcams, as it gets clumsy because of wires. I later read reviews of other similar products costing below Rs. 2000 and those too have this mic problem. Almost everyone is recommending a Logitech webcam, which costs upwards of Rs. 2500. I am not sure why these webcams are that expensive when a phone costing Rs. 5000 can provide a better video calling option. I even talked to a local seller, and he too said that these webcams do have mic problems. To sum up, these this webcam's mic is useless. And if someone is expecting the mic to work properly, then he'll probably be disappointed. Update 05-Oct-2021: I have bought Zinq webcam, and even though it has too much wide angle view and a few other issues, but its video quality is okay and mic also works. I have reviewed that here on Amazon.
