Great knife. Easy to hone. Top of the blade is a little thick for fine slicing, maybe use a chef knife. For outdoors, rugged, sharp, attractive (if that matters), easy enough to “scoop”, great feel and balance. You will like it.

Furthermore, I see it as a versatile tool: it's suitable for both everyday meals and more elaborate dishes. It just needs care: drying it thoroughly after washing and sharpening it when necessary—but with a little maintenance, I think it can last for many years and become a standard kitchen knife.

This knife may look weird at first glance but it's incredibly versatile. It fits wonderfully in the hand and is perfectly balanced. A real joy to use. PSA... This knife is high carbon steel and holds an edge for a long time but does require a tiny bit of care. Wash by hand, dry well and occasionally rub a little of your favorite cooking oil all over it. Once dry, store it in the nice included leather sheath. Do this and your grandchildren will be using this same knife. It's really cool and a great bargain.

I have been interested in this type of knife for a long time and am so glad I found a great price and went ahead and bought it. I've used it a few times already and absolutely love everything about it. I love the balance, the full tang, the weight, how easily it slices, chops, cuts, everything. It is the sharpest knife I've ever purchased and am very happy with it.

I would not purchase this knife, it is not fit for use intended, very very poor quality on all levels, blade was not straight or evenly curved for the length of the knife, arrived with a horrible oil which I had no idea what it was so it needed to be scrubbed before using, and in turn it is now rusty, burr on one side of the edge had to be removed before sharpening and once I finally got to use this knife it left black marks on the onion I tried it out on, basically I have put it back in its pouch amd will possibly Use it to chop twigs for firewood. About all it is good for.

- The actual knife received doesn't look antique like the image...it is just painted in black. - The quality of made of steel, treatment and finishing is very poor. - It is quickly made product and doesn't meet expectations. - Quality of leather case is good and looks very beautiful.
