I rave about this pillow cooling pad! NO refrigeration needed! Works as soon as your body touches it. I purchased one years back and the gel finally got hard and useless so I was extremely happy to find the replacement. It doesn't show in the photos, but this pad can fold down to 1/3 the width, which comes in very handy for me. I place this on top of my pillowcase. The cooling effect lasts about 10-15 minutes. Since I am a side sleeper I only use half, and then if I need more I rotate it. When not in use I put it either under my pillow or next to me, since it folds up. Yes, it does get warm after that 15 or so minutes of use. But that is because it absorbs the heat from your face, or wherever you use it (sometimes I put it directly on my chest if I am that hot). It cools back down on its own when not in use. Worth every penny and then some to get a good start to my nights sleep. For added comfort, I only buy natural fiber bedding such as linen because of its temperature regulating properties. Hope this review helps.

I’ve had one of these for years and keep it within reach at bedtime. This one I bought for a friend suffering with night sweats. Although this size is meant for a pillow I use it under my upper back when I feel the heat turning up cause it’s easier to handle than the full size model. It does provide temporary instant cooling but then you need to remove it so it maintains its coolness or else your body heat will warm it up making it useless for when the next flash hits. It’s not perfect but along with A/C, ceiling fan, wicking bed clothes and bedding it helps.

This cooling mat (small, pillow-sized) performed as described by the manufacturer. But, cooling lasted only 1 hour. The mat is not comfortable directly on skin; I place a thin towel over the mat before laying on it. For longer cooling, one would need at least two mats to use in rotation. I used the mat in combination with a standard ice pack (wrapped in towel) to keep cool all night. Have only been using this mat for about a week, so its durability is untested. Interesting cooling technology, but ice packs work, too.

It is not it is all cracked up to be. I used it for a week and it only cooled my head about five minutes.

First of all, the cooling mat is about half the size of a regular pillow. This means that if you are a side sleeper like myself, you will have to move the mat every single time you turn. The material is really plastic, so even if you refrigerate it before use like I did, after less than two hours the mat will be hot like a heat blanket and you’ll find yourself sweating even more than with your regular pillow. Lastly, the material is anything but soft. Imagine laying your head on a monthly magazine. That’s the feel. Perhaps it could work for pets, but it’s certainly not designed for humans. Total waste of your money.

Bought 2 of them. I am laying on one right now and it is a heaven sent. Cuts those awful hot flashes down to half the time. Wish I had bought one sooner. Stays cool for 20 or 30minutes which gets me thru a night sweat episode. Once the cool is gone, i remove it and it gets cold again w in minutes of removing. I keep it folded under or next to my pillow for easy access. Best thing ever. Just the right size to get the job done w out a big inconvienance. I am glad i got the pillow size instead of the larger one.

This pillow is not soft or comfortable. It’s a bit stiff and cooling does not last long enough. Definitely not what’s stated in the detail. Not worth it.

Lo recomiendo ampliamente.
