CAP Barbell 60-Pound Adjustable Dumbbell Weight Set

A bit over priced, but its a supply/demand thing, and the local shelves were bare. Delivery was not great...most likely all because of Canada Post, but eventually product arrived.

Seems pretty good quality, comes with some kind of rubber suction washers on the screw-on clamps but they still seem to loosen up a bit no matter what. That seems to happen on all screw-on clamps and the squeeze clamps budge way less though I prefer the screw-on ones. Don't really like that they advertise the bar weight in the total weight, seems kind of deceptive making you think you're getting a good price/weight deal but not that big of a deal. For example I got the 25Lb set and it comes with two 7.5Lb plates and two 3Lb plates which adds up to 21Lb weight in plates and I'm assuming the remainder 4Lbs is from the bar.

These are solid weights for home use, but they are not cleaned well before shipment. I’ve been stabbed in the hand twice by pieces of metal that have flaked off while performing exercises and taking the plates on and off. Luckily I was able to pull the metal “splinters” out with tweezers, but they need to be better inspected for safety and quality before someone gets really hurt.

I ordered the 25lb single dumbbell, and I'm very pleased with this purchase. I received it in the original CAP company box which was reinforced for the weight of it. Everything inside was brand new and individually wrapped. It was a good price considering every Academy, Walmart, and other various sporting goods stores in my city have been sold out completely of dumbbells / weights for months due to the pandemic. Other people online are selling nonadjustable weights at outrageous prices, so considering the times and the fact that I can change the weight up - I'm happy. Plus shipping said that it'll be delivered in two to three weeks, but I got it in 2 days via FedEx so that was just perfect.
