This is a review of "RZG 2x Black Real Carbon Fibre Fiber Euro UK Car Licence Registration Number Plate Holder Surround Frame DS France" Having previously ordered a German flag version of rear number plate from the same manufacturer, I kind of knew what to expect here. This is identical, save for the French logo and the fact that this is a pair. Quite well-made although I couldn't quite line up my existing fixing holes with those in the holders. I solved this by drilling/widening an existing hole on the holder and also reinforced the fitment with some double-sided tape. The carbon-fibre effect looks well and it means that I don't have to give free advertising to the dealer who supplied the vehicle. - - - - - - - - - - Note: As a member of the Vine program I was supplied with this item free of charge. With the carbon fibre price tax, this is surprisingly priced. The item is very cool and well built. The item is durable and strong. It's well coated and protected from road chips etc. The French flag is small but noticeable. The drill holes are quite universal but may require additional holes for your preference or use tape. The item is easy to fit and install, especially if all the holes line up. The item will hold the plate and remain secure, with no dodgy brackets or rattles. With the use of these materials, the value for money is very good and I am impressed. Worth considering.

This carbon fibre UK car licence plate holder is really simple to use. Coming with fixing screws (which you do not have to use - double-sided sticky pads work for me) you can simply pop open the 4 retaining spuds which opens up the hinged holder. Pop in your UK plate and clip back the retaining frame. It holds it firmly in place with no rattling. If you wanted to swap over a number plate you can repeat opening the frame, replacing with a different number plate and clip it back in. The problem I had with this holder is that it was too big to fit on my bike carrier which only just had enough space for the numberplate on its own. It is a good number plate holder and will do the job where the number plate location is not size restricted.

Overall, if you’re after something that adds a bit of style without being over the top — and you want something built to last — these are worth it. I’d happily buy them again for another car.

Ein Freund von mir hat sich so eine neue Renault Alpine gekauft und das Ding ist ja auf wenig Gewicht ausgelegt worden. Da Dachte ich mir, diese Halter sind genau das Richtige für ihn. Mit der Frankreichflagge in der Ecke und aus Kohlefaser und schön leicht. Als ich sie auspackte war ich gleich mal von der sauberen Verarbeitung und dem spürbar leichten Gewicht überrascht. Sieht man genau hin, dann erkennt man schön die Struktur vom Carbon. Er hat sich vor Freude überschlagen und sie gleich angebracht. Passen Perfekt und sehen wirklich sehr Gut aus.

Die beiden Kennzeichenhalter kamen schnell und gut in einem Markenkarton und jeweils einzeln in Schaumstofffolie verpackt an. Die Carbon-Optik ist wirklich hübsch und gemeinsam mit der Tricolore gefallen die beiden Halter eigentlich wirklich sehr. Leider hören hier dann auch die guten Nachrichten auf. Im Karton findet sich leider keinerlei Gebrauchsanweisung zum Öffnen. Daher darf man zunächst rätseln, wie man diese Halter denn zu öffnen hat. Wer hier zu grobschlächtig ans Werk geht, kann hier bereits einiges beschädigen. Nach ein wenig Tüftelei kann man es dann aber herausbekommen. Im Wesentlichen sind die vier kleinen Klemmen am unteren Kennzeichenrand so nach innen zu drücken, dass sich der Carbonrahmen hochklappen (!) lässt. Ein Herumwerkeln am oberen Rand der Kennzeichenhalter kann man sich sparen. Dieser Klappmechanismus ist eigentlich gut gelöst, umso mehr ist es schade, dass nichts darauf hinweist. Danach kann es 'ran ans Werk gehen. Nun ist es leider so, dass Frankreichs Kraftfahrzeugmarktführer entgegen landläufiger Vorurteile alles andere als billig unterwegs ist. So sind hier bereits vier entsprechende Löcher in der Kofferraumhaube vorgebohrt und mit zwei rostfreien Karosserieschrauben versehen. An denen befinden sich Unterlegscheiben, die sich auch nicht so einfach von den Schrauben lösen lassen. Ausgerechnet an dieser Stelle der vorgebohrten Löcher für die Kennzeichenbefestigung befinden sich an den Kennzeichenhaltern seltsame dicke Stege. Die verhindern, dass die Originalschrauben mit den Unterlegscheiben in die vorgebohrten Löcher zurück können, weil diese Unterlegscheiben mit diesen Stegen kollidieren. Nun könnte man auf die Idee kommen, eine der beigefügten Schrauben zu verwenden. Leider sind sowohl die beigefügten Karosserieschrauben als auch die Schrauben mit normalem M-Gewinde zu klein und verschwinden in den vier Löchern der französischen Karosse, natürlich ohne zu halten. Damit steht man nun nur noch vor der Wahl, sich vier entsprechende Karosserie-Schrauben ohne Unterlegscheiben zu besorgen oder seinen Kofferraumdeckel anzubohren. Nun sind diese Deckel Gott sei Dank beim französischen Marktführer mittlerweile überwiegend aus Kunststoff, nur leider befindet sich in ihnen zahlreiches Verkabelungsmaterial für Beleuchtung, Kameras oder ähnliches oder in Topmodellen auch mal ein Stauraum. Wer verhindern möchte, dass diese Sachen durchlöchert werden, kommt um die Anschaffung neuer Schrauben nicht herum. Angesichts des bei Tests aufgerufenen Preises von über 50 € für diese beiden Halter erscheint das allerdings irgendwie übertrieben. Ohnehin ist dieser Preis im Vergleich zu ähnlichen Artikeln ausgesprochen teuer. Ähnliche Carbonrahmen sind bereits um die 25 € zu haben. Dass ausgerechnet diese mit Tricolore ausgestatteten hier sich mit dem französischen Kraftfahrzeugmarktführer nicht vertragen, ist wirklich überraschend. Leider für den Hersteller der meistverkauften Autos in Frankreich nicht empfehlenswert.
