Integrative doc recommended Sam-e for sleep, calm and gut health. Found this during search as previous product was discontinued at Costco. Happy I found it.

Hope it helps with joint pain and arthritic pain. What I didn't like is the smell of the capsules is BAD WHEN YOU OPEN THE BOTTLE. BUT DOWN THE HATCH ANYWAY.

My dog has a paw with nerve and cartilage damage. He's been getting Cosequin since he was six months old and he had been doing well, but this past winter he began to limp very noticeably. Our previous dog had arthritis and our vet recommended 400 MG of SAMe daily, which was very expensive, but it helped her tremendously, so I looked for SAMe on Amazon. This product, being a capsule, is reasonably priced, so I ordered it. It took about six weeks of dosing him with the daily 400MG to see the difference I was hoping for. Mars has come back to his previous rollicking self, playing hard with the cat and the other dogs in the neighborhood. His pain level is obviously reduced considerably. I may need to order some for myself.

I have not tried to get one of these capsules close enough to my face to actually take it. The second I opened the bottle, the smell made me physically sick to my stomach. What on earth? I'm frightened to take it because it smells like a cross between a rotting corpse and sulfur. I'm not sure if they will let me return it because I already opened the safety seal. I don't even want to open the bottle again because I don't want the smell in my house. Horrendous. Absolutely horrific.

The delivery was good. I haven’t been taking this particular brand long enough to speak on performance and I won’t be taking it any longer than I have to. Couple of points I want to make about why … When I first started taking SAM-e, I was taking Jarrow brand for a couple months and did notice a difference. That brand comes in a blister pack. And I never noticed even a hint of an odor. I ordered another brand, in a bottle, terrible odor. Did research and learned there SHOULD NOT be an odor. So I was able to return the bottle to Amazon assuming I had gotten a bad batch. So then I ordered this brand. Same thing. Terrible odor. Being that I had just returned a bottle. I’m not even attempting to try and return another supplement due to the unfortunate return policy supplements have on here. I didn’t have trouble returning the first bottle. I called Amazon and it was returned. I just don’t want trying to return another supplement, even though it’s bad, to negatively affect my account in any way being that I order so much, supplements in particular. Anyway, needless to say, I WILL NOT be ordering any more of this supplement unless it’s in a blister pack. And I will most likely stick with Jarrow brand being that I never had a bad experience with Jarrow like I had with the 2 other bottle brands. I’d also like to point out I take a variety of supplements, only one of which is Jarrow brand. So I’m not a Jarrow junky. This particular Jarrow supplement (Jarrow SAM-e in blister packs) is more expensive than bottled ones but worth it to me. I’m only taking this bottle now out of necessity until the blister packs are delivered. Hope this is helpful!

Not sure if it is placebo effect, but it works. I was feeling depressed, especially with Covid and began a downward spiral. Just needed a boost to help claw my way back into hopeful. I feel more clear, can get things done and just overall better.

I like the higher dosage
