Don’t follow the instructions!
This is a really nice fan. It moves a lot of air and looks good. But I really don’t know what they were thinking when they decided how the fan gets attached to the mounting bracket. The instructions tell you to attach the fan to the *underside* of the bracket. That’s dumb for 2 reasons: 1. That essentially prevents the fan from being adjusted side to side at all. The fan frame hits the bracket. Very annoying. 2. Physics! If you attach the fan per the instructions, the entire fan is hung from the bolt. This worsens the fan vibration and will fatigue the bolt over time. Probably not enough to cause a failure, but no one wants a wobbly fan that looks like it’ll fly off the wall at any minute - which is what I got when I installed it their way first. Instead, put the fan on top of the bracket (see my photos). The fan is then supported by a very robust bracket - in this configuration, the bolt only keeps the fan in place and doesn’t support the fan’s weight at all. This results in much less vibration during operation, and there’s also way more side-to-side adjustment possible. One caveat: the little handle on the fan will prevent it from being oriented totally perpendicular to the floor - that’s not an issue for me since I’ll never want the fan in that position anyway, but thought I should mention it at least. (Disclaimer: follow the instructions for the rest of the install - don’t get me in trouble, y’all. I attached the bracket to wood studs with the recommended lag screws and it’s solid as a rock.) So - in summary - this would have been a 3 star review if I’d have followed the instructions. But since I didn’t — I got myself a 5 star fan. Hope this helps!

High Quality Industrial Fan
This is a VERY nice fan. It is well built, heavy, and moves a lot of air. The bracket and yoke are sturdy and easily adjustable. I hung it high on a wall but may move it to the ceiling to give it a greater degree of horizontal rotation. The steel L bracket can be mounted either way. A safety cable is included for overhead mounting. I bought the fan for room air circulation in a fairly large shop with baseboard heat and it does this well on the low-speed setting, pointed slightly toward the ceiling. The noise level is also very acceptable on the low speed. It's quite a bit louder on the medium and high speeds but also moves a tremendous amount of air. The air movement can be easily felt on the far side of my 40' shop and should be great for hot summer days with the doors open. Advertised power usage is reasonable at just over 1 amp on low speed and just under 2 amps on high. Overall, a great fan that looks like it will be around for a long time.

Quality Wall Mount Fan
The first clue that Air King cares about shipping a quality product is the heavy cardboard box. Too many outfits are increasingly using light-weight (cheaper and cheaper to ship) flimsy cardboard to ship products in, that provide little or no protection. Not so Air King; they shipped my 20" fan in heavy, stiff, old school cardboard. Kudos to Air King for that. Naturally the fan arrived in perfect condition. All the pieces were there and it went together without a hitch. The hardest part was making sure I hit the studs with my backing board that let me hang the fan in between studs. The fan blows plenty of air, and is not excessively loud. You have to expect some sound, since sound is nothing more than exactly moving air, and moving air is what a fan does. I don't know if I'd be comfortable sleeping with its sound, but is not "loud" even on high. Low speed most days will be plenty for working out in the garage. The fan does not wobble or vibrate. Compared to the lower price point fans, you pay for a quality fan, and the 2-way mount. This is one of the very few wall mount non-oscillating fans with full two degrees of freedom; you can turn it side to side, and tip it up and down. No $50-80 fans that I've seen allow that. With this Air King, you can point the fan wherever you want, which is worth the extra 30%. You also get a nice heavy duty six-foot power cord. Other outfits made me laugh while shopping, noting their "extra long" three-foot cord. Air King gives you a six-foot cord, and I appreciated that too. The pull cord extension is cheap string (the first six inches where it goes into the motor is metal) , but that's easily remedied, and I can't complain about that cost saving item. Everything else, especially the bracket, is heavy duty metal and solidly powder coated. Time will tell, but it sure seems like I got exactly the solid "good" quality fan I thought I was paying for.

Great fan... once it's properly balanced
MADE IN THE USA!!! The fan is obviously well built, sturdy, and will last forever! It works great on the wall mount in my garage gym... once it's balanced. Overall... I am very happy with the fan. I was truly disappointed that the fan was not balanced from the factory! When first installed, the fan vibrated my whole wall when on HIGH and Medium speeds because it was so out of wack! I found the lighter blade and added thin strips of black Gorilla Tape to the back of that blade until balanced. Now it works perfectly!! I've read other reviews where balance was an issue. This is a quality control issue that should be addressed!

Works Great, move alot of air.
I mounted my fan centered in the garage mostly to direct the air flow out of my garage when working on various task. It's great for moving toxic fumes out such as brake cleaner, carburetor cleaner or exhaust fumes. It's also great for keeping the work area cooler, most of the time I have it operating on low speed, I do use high speed when using my table saw or miter saw blowing any sawdust excaping my vacuum system out of the garage. Debating on purchasing a second one and moving the existing one and the second one near the corners for more complete coverage. The fan has very good power and low noise on low speed. The noise of the fan is more noticeable when on the higher power setting. (The noise would most likely be acceptable in a commercial setting.) There is no remote control therefore I installed a Alexa controlled power strip controlling the fan and additional work bench task lighting.

2nd purchase, I use a fan controller (bought separate) to bring the fan speed down. Great product.

I love this fan in my garage due to the fact that it is very powerful for blowing the air around to make the conditions much more comfortable to work in!

Revived it, surprised at the size, but will make it work.
