Swingline Optima 40 Stapler

I recently purchased the Swingline stapler with a 40-sheet capacity, and it has been absolutely perfect for my office needs. The build quality is excellent—sturdy, durable, and clearly made to last. It easily staples thick stacks of paper without jamming or struggling, which saves me a lot of time and frustration. The design is sleek and professional, and it fits nicely on my desk without taking up too much space. I grew up with office staplers made in the middle of the 20th Century and found them to durable and reliable. Recently I've bought staplers that jammed and fell apart after only a few weeks, even days, of use. I bought this Swingline Optima 40 with great hope. It just arrived and so far feel like it will do quite well. It feels sturdy and well built. It is heavier than many others I've tried, but the added weight is probably an indication of durability and quality. It staples a dozen or so sheets quite well. I've not yet gone for the rated 40, but I expect it will do that with ease. I loaded it with the recommended staples for which it is designed: Swingline Premium Optima Staples (#35556). Frankly I surmise the complaints about this stapler stem from using other than the specified staples; please use the staples it's designed for even though there are cheaper staples that will cause problems. The anvil forms a "flat clinch" staple; this eliminated the rounded bulge created by most staplers. When you stack a number of documents stapled in the upper left using a rounded clinch for example, the whole stack bulges up at that corner and is hard to sort and distribute. With the flat clinch anvil of this Swingline Optima 40 stapler there is very little added rise to the corner. I didn't know about this feature until I received and tried the stapler; I like it. Just remember to buy and use the specified staples.

Best stapler I have ever used. I love how the staples are flat on the back. It staples through more papers than standard staplers and is super durable. I bought on for my daughter to take to work and she loves it. This thing packs a punch. I will never buy a different stapler again. This swingline is the best!! Don't waste you time looing for another one. Spend the money on quality.

If you are a stapler, as in you staple things, you're going to love this! There are no special staples, it's normal stapler sized, it gets the job done. I find myself stapling things that do not even need to be stapled because I love the smooth action, and it's never fail attitude. I exude confidence when using it because I know it's a one and done with no stapler embarrassment.

When you want your staples to be FLAT & not with a little bump, this is the Swingline Stapler you get. I got this to replace the aging one I had in my office, exact same model too. Easy to use, easy to reload with staples. Never jams, unless yours is as old as my last one was. Great value for a stapler.

Love this unique stapler. I purchased two of them, one for my home office and one for my away office. Sturdy and I truly love the appearance.

High quality and perfect

I have one at work, and now the same one at home. Only gripe is that it doesn't quite take a full clip of staples, have to break ~10 off. Love this stapler almost as much Milton loves his red swingline in office space.
