can I use it for a kids writing

I understand what she is asking. There are hand weights that are sold for kids that look very similar to these wrist weights: that is, a small 1/2 pound - 1 pound weight that attaches via Velcro to palm or back of hand; kids wear them to improve handwriting because many children need their arm/wrist/hand *weighted* for proper sensory input at their desks during school or homework (otherwise their writing is too light, scribbled, etc). I'm pretty sure the wrist weights advertised here would not work for kids' handwriting because the bulk at the wrist joint would prevent the child from placing his/her hand flat or at the proper angle against the desk for optimal comfort and legible writing. Amazon offers some items from *fun and function* -- just not the hand weights you're looking for. You should check their site directly for multiple options in "hand weights".

is this a set of 2 for the price advertised or is it a single piece and i have to order two to get a pair?

I received two in one order, one for each wrist. I did not have to order them separately.

what is the circumference? Do they stretch to get on? Buying for elderly with tremors to steady hand to eat and sign name.

My husband is 5'7" and weighs 164 lbs. The weight takes some effort to get over his hand onto his wrist. Depending on the person's tremor severity as to whether the weight will provide the control you are looking for. For eating, LiftLab.com may provide a solution.

What is the difference in the 2 options for 2lb versions? Small black adjustable vs. Small/Medium black adjustable?

All I can say is that the small/medium were so big they wouldn't stay on my arm, so I returned them, and I'm not skinny. I weigh more than 160 pounds.

Exactly what I was looking for

I've spent ages looking for wrist weights like these (ones that slip on to the wrist like bracelets instead of wrapping around the wrist with straps). I had a pair that I got in the USA back in the 90s but lost one of them and it's only now that I've found a replacement, and they're exactly what I wanted. They slip on easily and are comfortable, although if you have large hands/wrists, you might want to look elsewhere. For me, they're perfect.
